The Hike was up & around a waterfall. It wasn't too demanding, but the exercise was good.
The guides 'Jen' & 'A' were really friendly, knowledgable & took great care with our safety & ensuring that we was OK (sorry if I got your names wrong!).
There was only 3 of us this day, but this made it very personal.
Plenty of water provided & lunch was pork noodles which was very nice.
The weather was rainy & cloudy (& obviously humid), which meant that we didn't get the views. This did not make the experience less enjoyable in any way, it would just have been a bonus!
We got driven to the top of the mountain with the bikes, which we had already tried out before we left. The higher we went, the cooler it got, which was refreshing for us, but maybe not the locals 😂.
Safety & instruction was very good with all pads, helmets & gloves provided. Even a rucksack to protect your own belongings.
Initially, I though that it was going to be a little too tame for me, but given the conditions, it made the ride down pretty technical & I had great fun trying not to come off (I was the only one that did - once - but because of all the protection the only thing that got hurt was my pride. That will teach me for trying to be clever! The guys were considerate for our safety at all times.
We stopped several times for photo opportunities & at the end had a nice walk by the lake where there is huge straw 'statues' that are impressive.
We were dropped straight back to our hotels afterwards to get cleaned up.
I certainly knew I'd had a workout; legs going up & upper body more coming down.......
A great day & I would recommend it if you like mountain biking & are short on time to do longer trekking.
