Unfortunately heavy rain curtailed our visit to this series of waterfalls. Nevertheless, even though we could only go as far as the fifth viewpoint, it was worth the admission money. The falls were very active which wasn’t surprising given the amount of rainfall so some care had to be taken on the footpath. The first few stages are wheelchair accessible.
It’s not just the waterfall that is a very good attraction but the plants, shrubs and trees. There are many different varieties and where you have trees, there will be insects in abundance.
There is a large car park and the inevitable food stalls nearby.
Well worth visiting particularly in dry weather.

a nice place to visit for a few hours.

there were very few people when we visited.

A 10/15 min walk to the waterfall.

there are very clean, modern toilets here.

Visited to make a stop off on our moped journey to Doi Suthep. Very small but we enjoyed climbing over the flat rocks and paddling our feet in the streams. Free to visit.

It's a 3km trip off the main Doi Suthep Road to this Waterfall. The road is narrow twists and turns, and has moss along the side.
There's limited parking near the Falls. It's a short walk to the Waterfall. While not spectacular it is quite lovely and worth a visit. There is a walking trail through the jungle - we didn't go along it as it looked slippery.
It was good to see something of the Thai jungle. There was only us and 2 other people there so it was peaceful.
Entry fee is 100 baht per person plus a fee for the vehicle you are using - we paid 20 baht to ride our scooter to the Waterfall.
Makes a change from the usual tourist activities in Chiang Mai

After seeing this waterfall was not listed on TripAdvisor I sought to add it so we could share our experience and hopefully provide others the same enjoyment!

We decided to visit as we wanted to see some awesome waterfalls in Chaing Mai without having to drive far away from the city and Wang Bua Ban did not disappoint.
We got a Grab to Chaing Mai Zoo and then walked to the waterfall. We visited Huay Keaw waterfall first (see other review) as it was on the way, but then walked about 15 minutes further up to reach Wang Bua Ban. If you dont fancy the walk you can drive to the top of the waterfall, but I recommend the scenic walk!
Wang Bua Ban waterfall is huge and has a number of pools which are great for dipping your feet or a swim if you can brave the cold water! It's truly beautiful and conveniently located near the City. There is even a lookout point at the top which overlooks Chiang Mai (see the attached photo) and offers a nice resting spot.

It's also not very touristy which means you get to enjoy the natural beauty, and it's free to visit which is a huge plus!
Due to it being less touristy there aren't any amenities such as toilets or shops etc. but I think that adds to the natural beauty. I'd also recommend decent footwear if you want to get up close to the waterfall.

If you want to see some of the beautiful nature Chaing Mai has to offer without travelling far away from the city then I thoroughly recommend this place!
