- KiwiWithWings80Auckland Central, New Zealand80 contributionsIt’s a tropical garden in a hot climate. Assume you are going to feel the heat!
Visitors are well cared for with a frequent free shuttle bus and cycles to hire. Although some areas are under repair or reconstruction, the majority of the gardens are simply breathtaking.
Having visited many gardens internationally, I have never been so impressed as I was by the Orchid Pavillion.
The garden beds were in perfect condition and beautifully designed. The mature native and exotic trees were magnificent specimens, perfectly sited.
The Royal Pavilion is absolutely beautiful, an architectural masterpiece befitting His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The tinkling of hundreds of tiny bells produce a heavenly feeling, the interior hall is spectacular.
The Royal Park is a quick taxi ride from the city.
The entrance fee is THB100.
The entrance fee for Kew Gardens in London is over THB990.
This garden is an absolute treasure, and I would recommend it without reservation.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Afterwards, it was simple to take a tuk tuk back into town. It is advised to have dinner at the buffet restaurant located in the parking lot before entering the park, as there aren't many food alternatives there.Written September 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - singhasamWeymouth, UK4,023 contributionsIMAGINE yourself transported on to a film set for Jurassic Park complete with swirling mist and spray and some very weird landscaping.
That is how it appeared to me when I visited Angels Land, also known as Dantayvada.
All the waterfalls are manmade and so are pools of water which seethe and smoke, rock formations which look vaguely volcanic and some very spooky sections.
I had to stamp on my imagination to stop it expecting a velociraptor to step into view in one place where mist drifted through strangely shaped trees. Very atmospheric in a slightly hair raising way.
There is a cafe on site and visitors can wander happily in and out of caves, up steps to view points and, of course, sample, a number of waterfalls splashing droplets in all directions.
Having travelled extensively in Thailand I have to say I prefer the natural type of waterfall, but this is not to say Angels Land is without merit.
The gardens are lovely and the orchids are a genuine pleasure to look at.
People can also relax on special seating, hop across stepping stones and generally experience this very watery attraction.
I've not seen anything like it before and perhaps that explains a steady stream of people coming into to enjoy the experience.Written November 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Having been there once I will not return.Written October 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jonathan MSt Martin / St Maarten38 contributionsWe did the full day course, and from the moment we started off at the market we had a smile on our face. The group ranging in age from 11-48 enjoyed every moment of the day. Its a must spent day.Written March 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alisa B7 contributionsI was so glad I made the effort to come here from Chiang Mai. Ku and Gunn are so welcoming, kind and taught me so much about both art and Thai culture. They have great coffee, tea, butterbeer and food. They have art workshops if you want to spend a whole day here or little things you can paint for ten minutes while you sip coffee or tea. They can help you organize a ride as well. Definitely a highlight of my trip!Written June 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter FischerPattaya, Thailand222 contributionsThe sculptures are awesome the exhibition a bit small but free admission. So it's worth a look. The place itself needs renovation badly. But I liked it.Written July 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
