A wonderful loving and peaceful retreat inside a gorgeous and luxurious ashram with a pool. The food wad also incredible. I attended the Tantra Immersion last week and experienced a powerful breakthrough towards the end of the retreat which I am so so grateful for. More suitable for heterosexual individuals due to the nature of this ancestral teaching. Highly recommend if you are on a path of self-love and self-discovery!!!

We booked a private yoga 1 hour class for 3 people and had not only a good stretch but a fun, relaxing, and educational/spiritual experience as well. We had only enough time for 1 visit, but can imagine why people would want to do multiple days with Rod.

I wasn't in Chaing Mai long, but had an amazing class here that was both challenging and in great humour. I'd recommend this authentic studio.

I have taken classes with Gernot 1on1, in studio, and on his online platform since he started it during covid.

I want to thank Gernot from all my heart for your teachings and continuous support. You built my practice from the ground, you will remain at it's core, and you gave me the fondation that allowed me to approach yoga (and life) with more ease, joy, and awareness. You changed my life for the better in big ways and I will remain forever grateful for that.
I won't stop recommending you to whomever is interested in yoga.

    In gratitude,

    Matthew

We went here for a beginners yoga class. We were afraid it would be too easy for us since we both practice yoga regularly, but it was the opposite: a very tough class which we (and many more of the other students) would not classify as beginners as all. For some guys this was the first ever yoga class and some important comments like "keep head straight in fish position" were not given. The teacher was nice, but would only recommend going here if you really have a good foundation of yoga skills already.

This will be the best place you’ve ever practiced yoga…. why? Well, I’ve been practicing yoga at various yet consistent studios in America over the last 15 years of my life. But I must say that I’ve experienced a deeper growth in my yoga practice and a significant sense of community in just 2 weeks with Wild Rose yoga then I’ve ever been exposed to in my several years of practice prior. The reality is that this studio isn’t just a place to do yoga… it’s a living breathing beautiful naturalistic place with an arms wide open community waiting for you to join. The instructors at Wild Rose are incredibly knowledgeable and humble teachers. Breath is their number one focus and a recurring theme in all classes. Breath is the most important posture and every teacher encourages that beautiful theme. Enjoy your time with the Wild Rose family, this place will become your home away from home. Thank you Wild Rose team! All of my love!

I thought that we would focus on my weight-loss troubles, but instead Sara and Simba has inspired and guided me in a healthy body and mind transformation. Finally I am consciously taking care of myself rather than continuing to think: I’ll do that when I have time later. My favorites so far is the fasting, the breathwork and having learnt to pause when feelings of stress start to occur.

I went to the studio because I wanted to practice Qi Gong and it went beyond my expectations. Marissa, the teacher, is amazing, the class was so good ( and the studio beautiful ) I change plans to go back. I also took yoga lessons because I heard good comments and once again it was the great, the teachers are super quality and full of kindness. For sure I’ll go back to discover the other activities like dance I’m sure they won’t let me down

I saw Zag for the first time as he came highly recommended as a practitioner of Thai massage. It was a great experience as he is a skilled at his massage craft, a very personable, professional and friendly guy who made my body sing after the 90 minute massage. Highly recommend and will return again to aid my body's recovery..

We took a oil massage course with Rad and we had so much fun! Rad is a very empathic and attentive teacher. The location had a relaxed atmosphere. Rad made it all look so easy and we gained a lot of basic knowledge on how to quickly give magical massages. Definitely recommend it to everyone and can’t wait to go back.

I rate Satva Yoga Chiang Mai 5 stars on the following aspects particularly :

1, Outstanding professionalism : In addition to excellent personal Yoga skills and friendliness that most teachers process in this industry, the couple-teachers Freddy and Nit at Satva Yoga have vast knowledge about using different props, particularly inversion sling, to help students isolate and improve the bottleneck(s) in each pose, therefore beginners to advanced yogis can always benefit a lot in every class.

2, Great studio environment; Large semi open-space studio with 100% natural airflow, beautiful garden adjacent to the studio with birds and butterflies visiting from time to time.

3, Attention to students: The teachers can always identify every student's FIRST bottleneck for improvement in every pose, improvement advice is suggested and demonstrated on the spot before moving on to the next pose.

4, Stable teacher resources – though small scale, I say Satva is indeed a devoted Iyengar Yoga academy instead of just-another-yoga-studio, there is always either one of the same couple-teachers doing the teaching whenever you come to any classes (usually Nit, the wife). It is not like other co-working-space type of yoga studios that operate by signing up a few visiting or freelance teachers who fill in the teaching spaces on a weekly or monthly rotating schedule.

5, Teaching objectives : The teachers aim at equipping you with the necessary Yoga knowledge and skills so that you can do the asanas by yourself correctly and safely at home, not simply showing you what poses you can do or imitate in the 1.5 hours.

A little more about my experience with Satva Yoga Chiang Mai.

I was an absolute yoga beginner with no more than 20 casual holiday-resort kinda yoga class experience in my whole past 40+ years of life.

My whole body is stiff as a wooden plank here and there and the situation only got worse after I went thru a hip surgery 18 months ago. I was looking to focus on improving the overall flexibility of my body by attending yoga classes intensively when I was in Chiang Mai between May & June 2022.

Before reaching Satva Yoga, I went to 4 other studios in Chiang Mai for 9 classes, learning from 5 different teachers. They were all excellent yogis, yet I only saw very little improvement in myself, more often than not finding myself puzzled by many different Asanas in those fast-paced flows in different classes.

The reason I came to Satva the last, simply because Satva did not do as much digital marketing as other studios in Chiang Mai would do, I spotted the name Satva Yoga only after ruling out the other names that I already tried.

I attended 13 classes at Satva across 3 weeks between late May and June, doing around 4 classes a week on average. At the end I saw flexibility of my different body parts improved significantly, also I learned a lot of essential Yoga skills that I can really do by myself at home. I guess the attached collage picture of myself in Full Wheel Pose speak better then words.

I left Chiang Mai happily with improved flexibility in my body and I have already planed on returning to Satva two months later for further improvements. I highly recommend Satva Yoga Chiang Mai to all of you.

I attended the Tibetan Singing Bowls training course here earlier this month, with Kru Ali.

I highly recommend it for all bodyworkers... I had initially signed up for the course thinking I could add some sound therapy with Tibetan bowls at the end of my Qi Gong classes back in London. But in the course we were also taught how to use the bowls on body to deliver a full 1 hour massage with the vibrations from the bowls

My clients are going to love it!

    Highly recommended ☺️ 🙏

The teacher was very nice and really helpful! The class was very small so she could focus on everyone. It was challenging and fun!
