Very much a touristy location. Literally too many stalls to see them all, and a little confusing to navigate, but know that the food is typically along the outside of the main maze of stalls. The vendors were surprisingly low pressure and the goods were very inexpensive. I didn't make it to the animal portion (and I'm glad I didn't, based on some of the reviews). Taking home a few cool souvenirs and a story!

Beautiful shopping mall, on the expensive side, yet everything is there, wonderful food courts, beautiful TWG Cafe, courteous staff.

Lumphini is a beautiful oasis amid the bustling mayhem of Bangkok.
We came here several times as we love to feed the stray cats. They need love too!
The park is beautiful, has many water features and some fabulous statues and sculptures.
Many locals use this park to work out or just take a stroll after work.
A great spot to chill and watch the world go by.

Outstanding street food but not for the feint hearted. Plenty of variety- fresh fish, seafood of all kinds, pork, chicken, veg etc. Great vibe and excellent prices. Run shoulders with locals and farung alike. Ice cold Changs beers to wash it all down with.
We had a whole fried tamarind fish with morning glory and deep fried pork. Two large beers each. All up- less than $AU100.
Not to be missed. It gets very busy so be prepared to wait. Food all fresh cooked. Great fun.
    Recommended.

It is fun to go at least once, but if you visit at night it is very loud with all the bars music competing with each other which results in just noise. Load of bars and jump in one to sit and watch the crazy unfold. Tuk tuks around here will rip you off if you aren't careful. You will get offered bugs on sticks, tattoos, laughing gas every second step which gets really annoying, but it was a bit of fun for an hour or so then our eardrums needed a rest.

We came here using our All Day River Pass from Chao Phraya Tourist Boat. It was one of the stops on their river route.

This mall was amazing! We visited this mall twice on two separate days. On the main floor we visited "Sook Siam" which had most of the fun food stalls, restaurants, and vendors selling Thai handicrafts, clothes, and souvenirs. They have an area set-up like a floating market, too. Variety of food to choose from (Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian). You can buy fresh drinks like coconuts, durian, strawberries, ... And at one point, there was a singer and a band playing, so it made the whole place lively.

The second time we visited, we went "upstairs" to the other floors and found the top floor with the "waterfall" cascading down from the roof. There was also an outdoor terrace where we had a view of the river and city of Bangkok. More sit down restaurants on the upper floors and Starbucks.

We had a delightful evening meal at this restaraunt in the Asiatique river front shopping complex called Sawatdee.
The food was superb. From Crispy Pork to Tom Yum to Penang Curry to say the least some of the best Thai food we have had on this trip.
The servings were plentiful and very fair pricing.
The Mango smoothies also were Yummy.
One small issue. We were charged for ice in one of our drinks. That seemed a bit strange. Just the same we would definitely come here again.
The complex also much better organised than last time a year ago we visited. Well done to the owners managers and team. Its a lot better.

It’s s real mix of people going about their business and busy roads but then a stumble and theirs a temple or a good place to eat or just see real people . Some good value hotels and accessible walking around here to see some of the places you should see.

Interessante.

One of the most visited and revered temples in Bangkok, a short drive from Siam and the MRT.
Always crowded with tourists and locals who come to pray who pay homage to the divinity with floral offerings. A small orchestra and a group of dancers are always present. Interesting.

Have not visited this mall since covid. It is next to Siam Paragon and along the BTS so it is convenient to visit. In our view, this mall has interesting stores and we have always enjoyed coming here. The sports stores, clothing stores, etc, are interesting and less crowded. This place is a gem.

My second visit to Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, an amazing temple. In July 2023 there were less tourist around but even this time on a Sunday it was not too crowded. I took the MRT to Bang Phai station, Exit 1, and then down the stairs or with the elevator, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the pedestrian bridge over the canal, and then to the grounds of the temple. There is the Meili Café near to the bridge, good espresso and brownies.
There is so much to see at this temple, of course the giant Buddha statue is the main object for pictures. From the pagoda which is behind the Buddha pictures of the area can be taken. In the pagoda there are several levels to climb up the stairs, definitely worthwhile to do.
Several foreign women walked around with very tight shorts and bustier, unfortunately the Thais are too shy to tell them that wearing such dress is very disrespectful.
