We went during the day so not everything was open but still had a lot to look at and lots of variety will have to go back again and look at night.

We arrived at Sanam Chai metro station and the Flower Market was well sign-posted.

The Flower Market is covered, so it was nice to shelter inside and escape a heavy rainfall.

The Market seems to be bisected by a major road, and each side seems to have fruits/veg and flowers (lots of marigolds, roses, orchids). On one side there is also a shrine.

Eating is more challenging here as we didn’t find a lot on offer, but we did find a street-side restaurant selling pad-Thai and noodles - AND we could sit down - for 50 THB, and both were fantastic.

I did feel a bit voyeuristic in the market, but nobody seemed to mind our being there. Occasionally a motorbike would whizz through the market, and plenty of men pulling enormous wicker baskets - one even had an old lady in it!

We enjoyed it and found it very vibrant.

Everytime that I visit bangkok I come here its just great, get there early, and enjoy the smells of all the different cooking styles, take a trip on the canal, see how the locals live, buy food from a boat, listen to the live band, its an amazing place 20 minutes out of Bangkok City, take a cab, or the train, and enjoy your day.

One of those hidden gem (but everyone knows) kind of market. Lots of thifts vintage shops (if you are into) with curated jackets and band tees. plenty of photo opportunities as well with the vintage cars, neon signs and plane. Good atmosphere, not so crowded with rowdy and loud tourists (iykyk) A little far from the usual city center but worth the trip.

Good place to pick some clothes. Very narrow lane and might not be of interest to many, but you find cheap clothes here. Good pick for some casual shopping.

I think that this was the most local experience I had in Bangkok. In this market you find everything in raw state, what you will buy at other markets as street food. This place is not for the faint hearted, it is not an instagram photo spot but it shows what a true market looks like. You find plenty of street food and it is as good as at any other market, many locals are eating here, this usually means that the food is good. I recommend to pay a visit but prepare yourself to feel the smell of good food and fish and fresh flesh in the same breath. Have fun, I surely don't regret my visit there.

Soi Rambuttri has a charm of its own. Not as crowded as Khao San but yet just adjacent to all the action just in case one needs it.

This little hidden gem is located right behind Shangri La Hotel Bangkok and is within a 5 mins walk from both the Sathron Taksin BTS station and the Saphan pier.
The food stalls there offer grilled seafoods, bbq meats, hotpots and a wide variety of different Thai dishes. Foods are fresh and well prepared and are of very reasonable price.
    Highly recommended!

Very good streetfood in Sukhumvit neighborhood. We had the beef with garlic, minced pork with with basil and mixed vegetables. Recommend all of those dishes.
