Excellent staff elevate this wonderful whisky and cigar den. My only criticism is the beer pricing. I always try to stop here when I'm in town

Whenever we come to rod fai, we would pass by this shop and spend abt 10min inside just admiring the stuff inside. Did not purchase anything though as those I liked are fragile and I dont trust myself bringing it back to Spore.

This review is for the Wine Connection Store near the same complex where the restaurant is located that is owned by them. Great wine store and superb selection of wines from around the world and beautiful wine glasses and accessories can be bought there. What I like was the wine tasting before you buy. Excellent service and the staff are well versed in the different categories. On your next visit please go there and buy a bottle or two. Its the first Soi on the left which is also a garage entrance and walk along the left and you will see the store. Great buying. I do always.

My visit to "One Two Two" on Sukhumvit Soi 11 turned from a promising night into a classic scam story. What seemed like a casual meetup turned into a financial nightmare, orchestrated by the bar itself.

Round 1: I met and chatted with someone on Bumble (@Kiwirose69) who suggested we meet at One Two Two. She was keen to meet and have a drink with me, taking care of all the booking arrangements. I arrived to find a bottle of Grey Goose and a table booked under my name. The staff told me it was all prepaid by Kiwi herself. Kiwi claimed she was only 10 minutes away, so I opened it and had a drink. Ten minutes came and went, and Kiwi was a no-show. I felt a mix of disappointment and suspicion as the realization dawned: I was the victim of a well-orchestrated scam.

Some staff admitted, rather sheepishly, that they knew of Kiwi. They knew I was being scammed and I could tell some of them felt sorry for me but were unable to intervene.

Kiwi kept making all the usual excuses: "I'm just getting my hair done," "Traffic is bad," etc., until I realized she wasn't coming at all, and I had been stood up. Despite my protests, I was told I had to pay for the bottle—a THB6000 bill. The manager's disinterest and rehearsed explanations added insult to injury, making it clear this was not his first rodeo. To placate me, he gave me a business card with the bottle's details, claiming I could come back anytime to drink it.

Round 2: I returned a week later, excited to claim my almost full bottle. But, surprise—the manager now said they tossed it, citing a "policy" that they only keep the bottle for a week. "If we kept all the bottles we sell to tourists, we wouldn't have room behind the bar!" he claimed. This "policy" was never discussed at the time, nor was it mentioned on the card I was given.

The place was empty, making it clear this bar is not well-patronized and they are busy trying to scam tourists to make up for their poor sales.

The kicker? The manager, all too familiar with this scam, dismissed my complaints, sticking to their "policy."

Final Word: Watch out for "One Two Two." It's more interested in scamming than serving. Save your money and your evening for somewhere that values you as a customer, not a target.

    Visited: March 8 and 16, 2024.

Avoid the trap. There are plenty of genuine spots in Bangkok that won't pull a fast one on you.

This chilled out reggae-style bar is a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the big city. It's located in a Thai neighbourhood close to Udom Suk BTS station. The bar offers a friendly atmosphere where you can meet new people and do something a bit different.

There is always something going on like cocktail making classes, language meet ups and writers meet ups. This is also a great place to enjoy delicious cocktails and cheap beer (Leo and Singha 50 Baht!) Make sure you check it out when you're passing through Bangkok.
