- HafezovciAlexandria, Egypt245 contributionsThe park had several hiking trails that could be competed in a few hours to several days. Unfortunately I have used a local guide for the hiking and he convinced me to sleep over in a guesthouse (he called it a hotel) but he just took me there because he was going to take a commission from the guesthouse owner. My stay in this guesthouse was terrible and it spoiled my trip because the place was dirty and cold and there were many drunk locals shouting all night and I couldn’t sleep. I could have done the trail in one day without sleeping at the guesthouse. Next time, I am not going to hire a local guide.Written February 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SarahAD283Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates30 contributionsFor me, this was a perfect trip. It combined so many of the elements that I love: real physical effort and challenge, relaxing yoga, breathtakingly beautiful nature, beautiful food, immersion in a new culture, and lots and lots of learning. All of this was made possible by the Himalayan Yoga Academy and, more significantly, our guide and yogi, Ram. Ram was a tremendous leader. He was organized, very capable, and very flexible in answering the needs that I and the others had. He led our yoga sessions every morning with skill and patience and created an inspiring learning opportunity during our evening meditations. These sessions were transformative for me. All in all, the retreat was magical. I will never forget this trip. I feel so fortunate to have learned so much in this beautiful country with this wonderful teacher and guide.Written February 7, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
