I don't have enough words for how amazing Sabita and Sushila were. I came with my partner to celebrate our engagement and learn some recipes. First of all, they tailored seamlessly our vegan diet, and all of the food was DELICIOUS.

From start to end of the class they were full of energy, joy, fun and pure skill. They were kind and patient with us. They also brought us a surprise congratulations cake (also vegan!?) to celebrate our engagement. I didn't know that a cooking class could be this amazing. By far one of my favourite activities from my time in Nepal. They provided recipes at the end of the class also.

We had an amazing experience making momos at Namaste Cooking School. The girls teaching the class are full of positive energy and we laughed a lot during the class. The kitchen is super clean and bright since it is nicely located on a rooftop in the center of Thamel. At the beginning we made our own masala tea (chia) which was delicious. Afterwards we had the option to choose between making vegetarian or chicken momos and we also learned how to make the delicious fresh momo sauce the old fashioned way with a stone kitchen mortar and pestle which was super fun. The girls thought us four different momo shapes and they tasted delicious! They also provide the option to choose to learn to cook a whole menu including a starter, main course and a dessert. Even though we took the momo cooking class, we got all the other recipes emailed to us afterwards! We are back home now and are going to make momos for our family tonight. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!

We really enjoyed the Nepali cooking class in a small group environment. The class was interactive and well run with the opportunity to prepare a wide choice of 3 meals per person (appetiser, main course and dessert). It was an added bonus to go on the shopping trip to purchase the local fresh produce to be used in the preparing the meals. The food was delicious and I feel like I can try and prepare the meals myself back home. Thanks for a great class!

Me and a friend visited Nepal for a week and this was our favorite experience. It was a ton of fun learning to cook and getting to chat with Kalpana and her kind family. I recommend this class to anyone visiting Nepal!

Manika welcomed Puskar, my guide and me as if we were her intimate friends. She explained me about the history and cultures of Bhaktapur, which interested me.

Then she taught me how to carve woods with please and patient, also with applauses.

She also told me how she was trained to be a good artist. It was also interested much.

I had a lot of options in this tour but I am sure my option is the best.

The guide Puskar’s explanation was also very nice. I believe I understood much better than I had learned.

Very nice class for couples to take. We initially signed up for just momo making, but we were allowed to sign up for making other things as part of a full course meal the same day! Of course we had to pay extra for that but it was nice we were able to add that option last minute. If you go that route, do plan to spend an hour or so more of extra time to make the other menu options, but it's a good value for a full course meal with the momos =)

We tried Momo for the first time in Kathmandu and we absolutely loved it. Our friend recommended us about this tour. We were picked at our hotel by our guide and he took us to a local house where a couple were there. We started making a flour dough, mixed chicken minced meat with cabbage, onion, spring onion, different spices etc. Then we made 5 different momos shapes. They were so good at teaching that we learned cooking momo very quickly. After we steamed the momos we sat outside in the balcony which was very peaceful. The momo was so delicious that we ate a lot. We are taking this knowledge as a souvenir back home, Invite our friends and treat them with the momo we nake back home.

Cooking with a local family was a very nice experience at the end of our trip through Nepal.
We started by going to the local market to buy fresh vegetables. These were then prepared with us and the family, resulting in a very tasty dal bhat. It was a very nice evening.

Great cooking class to introduce Nepali food!

The cooking class takes place in a clean kitchen with a professional chef so you get a great experience. We had a small group (3 people) and there was the option tobl be as hands on or hands off as you wanted. If you want to be very involved, I would recommend you make that clear so you don't feel like you miss out.

There was so much food! You make 3 dishes which as all meals in their own right, so come hungry!

    Highly recommended.
