What a fun time at the Nepal Cooking School. The food was so good I ate it all. We started with a quick trip to a small market with a explination of the veggies in Nepal. Then we went to a spice shop where I picked up some spices and prayer flags. Then it was back to the school to get cooking. We worked in pairs to make all the dishes. The instructors and assistants did a great job. I would do this again.

Thank you Kalpana for a wonderful day and experience that we will always remember. It was a great to learn not only about Nepali cooking and culture but to be treated to the generous and welcoming hospitality of your whole family at your small farm on the outskirts of Kathmandu made for an exceptional and fun day of learning that we thoroughly enjoyed. From the booking, through to arranging the pick up and drop off back to our hotel and your wonderful smile and patience in our attempts to make momos was matched by the wonderful food, our full bellys and lots of laughs. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone, and we now know where we will be staying and basing ourselves on our next visit to Nepal. Thank you.

Amazing cooking class with a lot of dishes to choose from. Our "teacher" was Reecha and she did an amazing job. We had a perfect balance between tasks for the group and support by the team in the background. Highly recommend!

Cooking with a local family was a very nice experience at the end of our trip through Nepal.
We started by going to the local market to buy fresh vegetables. These were then prepared with us and the family, resulting in a very tasty dal bhat. It was a very nice evening.

We had a really good time there and they offered the course even just for two people! We cooked momos, dal bhat, ricepudding and a sweet festival bread! We can completely recommend the course. If you want an authentic course - this one had to be your choice!!

My partner and our daughter love The Traveling Spoon - we had a fantastic experience last year in India so when we planned our trip to Nepal we knew we wanted to see if there were any opportunities to do a similar experience.

Due to timing, Pooja was not available so asked if it was ok for just her mom Manju to host us. Manju was so wonderful and we really enjoyed meeting her! We were welcomed into their home and visited for a bit before starting to cook together. My 12 year old daughter is homeschooled and a very experienced cook - Manju expertly taught us how to fry Mendu Vada (lentil donuts) and mix up aloo ko achar (spicy potato salad). She had made a bunch of other tasty dishes ahead of time and we had a wonderful lunch together.
