My tour driver was Godfrey (ask for him!) who was very knowledgable (especially about birds - if that's your thing), super funny, kind and knows a ton about East Africa as that's where he's from.

The highlight of my trip was definitely the gorilla trek, but seeing the lions in the trees in Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as a large male leopard crossing the road were other great moments.

Gerald worked over the course of a few months to help coordinate a tour of Uganda that included Gorilla trekking, a safari of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimpanzee trekking and visiting the source of the Nile.

Three weeks is a lot of time to spend in a car with a person but every day we found new adventures and were treated to Paul's vast knowledge of Birds, wildlife, Ugandan culture and history.

They provided a guide for a private trip to north west Uganda, with the highlight being a safari around Falls National Park, an overnight stay in a Lodge and a visit up the Nile and to the Murchison Falls themselves.

TIP: For those planning on doing the Rwanda/Uganda border and flying out of Kigali after your gorilla trek, be aware it can take some time (we were there for over 4 hours).

The trip went off without a hitch our guide and driver Simon was knowledgeable and delightful company plus he is the most extraordinary 4WD driver getting us off the beaten track to the best encounters and views.
