Highly recommended - everything was perfect start to finish!!!

What a fantastic and unbelievable experience. Swimming with dolphins and then an unforgettable lunch on the beach with the most amazing view of the ocean. Food was so fresh and the lobster was incredible.

The trip was excellent we certainly crammed a lot into 8 hours. You need 8 hours as the whole population above 16 seem to have 2 or 4 wheels and all go out at once. Grit your teeth it’s worth the ride. everything on the list is done. The distillery was very interesting and views from the mountains were stunning. Our driver was great as he knew every short cut and back road around the traffic.

Despite some pretty challenging conditions the crew made it a great day out. Short explanations of the places we were going to see. Re jigging the itinerary to suit the weather, but still making a day of it. Dolphins at the end always make it 5 star though don't they! Glad we did this rather than the sailboat tour.

Swimming with a giant turtle was probably the highlight of my trip to Mauritius. Was genuine concerns about if we’d get a chance to as they didn’t appear in the morning due to the tide. However, Kesaven who was our guide/driver for the day worked hard to keep up to date & even when at the end of the day it looked like they weren’t going to appear, he took us to meet the person who runs that part of the day so we could come back if needs be on another day with no additional cost to do it. But, our luck came in as whilst we were having that chat they spotted a giant turtle. So we rushed into the boat & went out, for what was an amazing experience. There was only 1 but frankly that didn’t matter. This was much better than “chasing” dolphins as we were in a small group actually swimming with the turtle.
The rest of the day was great. Visiting the tea exporter/factory was great, the guide there was super friendly & knowledgable. Pamplemousses Botanical Garden was great, but that was because for the small cost of 75RPS per person (around £2) you can get a guided tour. Frankly don’t think I’d have appreciated it without them & again they were so friendly but importantly knowledgable. The Red Church is also amazing & there was a wedding at the time so we kept a little further back, but that was fine as the views out to sea were unreal.
Port Louis was probably the only drawback in that I’d have happily have gone after a quick look around the quay & market.
    Would recommend.

We have been to Mauritius many times and debated whether it was time to go somewhere else or if we did visit then maybe a different hotel to LUX Grand Gaube where we have stayed many times. However we love the Island and it's people and we have always had an amazing experience at LUX GG so we decided to return again. Absolutely the right decision! All the staff at the hotel are wonderful, welcoming and so friendly and it is very difficult to single out individuals but the people who made our stay exceptional were: Ashwin and Ashwan in Palm Court and Creole Smoke Hse who went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience at every meal. We were similarly looked after in Beach Rouge by Nund, Akshaye and Pergum. Not forgetting Bodrum where we had exceptional service from Durgesh. In INTI Yasser was the perfect host with attention to detail. Diron was always on hand to ensure we had no issues and were really enjoying our holiday. Chef Deepuck cooked superb meals and it's no surprise we both put on the weight! In the bar the cocktails were amazing made mainly by Kevish and Yovan. On the beach, were we spent most of the day, we were looked after brilliantly by the ''man in the hat'' Reedoo, supported by Anoop and Veer and in the adult area by Kumar. All of whom make delicious milkshakes. Pravesh, our room boy, made incredible towel sculptures and kept our room very clean. And last but not least our thanks to Elena at reception for her understanding and efficiency. Overall LUX GG constantly delivers a wonderful experience and the staff always make it so special.

There were 4 of us wanting have a day tour and it was fantastic! Our driver and guide, Vikash was wonderful! He listened to all we wanted to do in a limited time frame, and guided us to the locales that would fit into our parameters. We saw so much, and he was so patient and kind, it made our whole experience very enjoyable. It was a great day.

This trip was a great deal for the price. The tour operator also graciously waited for our late arrival after we had a miscommunication with our hotel about breakfast and arrived 20 minutes after the agreed upon time. We were very grateful for the tour operator's flexibility! The trip involved going out to sea by boat with 6 other guests and 2 other boatmen, pulling around to another marina to pick up 2 additional guests, and then heading into deep water to "hunt" for dolphins we could swim with. Just before boarding the boat we were also given a welcome bag with snacks in it. So thoughtful. There were a number of boat tour operators out in the same area and I could not help but notice that all of the other boats were packed with way more travelers. I was grateful we were such a small party. After swimming with dolphins in 4 or 5 locations, we snorkeled and swam in a coral reef area for 30-45 minutes and then headed back. The two areas where my husband and I felt that the tour could improve were related to communication-- 1: Explaining how to properly wear the snorkel and mask we were given, as well as troubleshoot issues. We have both snorkeled before but snorkels are not one size fits all and mine kept retaining water until I figured out how to fix it by myself. 2: Explaining the details of diving with the dolphins. We were told we would be looking for two different types of dolphins but not given expectations as to what to do once they were spotted. Once in deep water you will sit on the edge of the boat and, at a moment's notice, be told to jump into the water. After swimming with them, you board the boat again and repeat this process in at least three other areas. It was confusing not knowing how many times we would be jumping back into the water. Myself and several other guests kept returning to our seats on the boat and then finding out we were getting into the water again. This was not a significant issue but explaining at the outset what expectations are is helpful to the guests. I would recommend this tour. The water was gorgeous, the dolphins were amazing to see up close swimming in pods in the wild, (didn't get to touch any, they were too fast!), and the price was very reasonable!

Professionalism of the agency and drivers at the level! For every recommendation! Tours are exclusively private, drivers are flexible. If you stay somewhere longer, you can cut some points that are not too interesting to you. Keep in mind that Casela Park takes a little more time than expected, 2.5 hours is not enough. We stayed for 3.5 hours, and even that was not enough for us to visit the whole park. However, I recommend that you plan one full day for Casela Park. And as for lunch, the food was fantastic, but the waiting time is a bit long... In any case, recommended for agency!

Fabio and Ronaldo were fantastic guides on our whale watching and dolphin boat tour. They were knowledgeable and took time to tell us about the whales and dolphins. They were also really respectful of them. The company were well organised and the boats had small numbers of passengers. It can get quite choppy out in the deep sea so if you get sea sick, make sure you take anti sickness meds with you so you can enjoy your trip!
We saw humpback whales and swam with the dolphins in a bay that was much quieter than another drip I went on (bare in mind it was off peak season).
A wonderful experience that I will never forget!

The day started off good, our driver picked us up from out hotel on time and was very friendly and efficient! If you are not a morning person please note that the start time is NOT the pick up time and if your hotel is not located near the beach then you may have to wake up earlier. For us we has to wake up at 5am for a 6am pickup time from the east.

We arrived at the location on time and our driver took us to some toilets before we got there which was super considerate! However when we got there, we spent a lot of time just stood about and we weren't really sure what we were supposed to do/who we were going with. There were a lot of other tourists as well who I assume were waiting for similar things but again no one looked like they knew where to go.

Eventually our guides came and walked us to the boat we were going to be using for the trip. We had Vic and Zen (sorry if this is misspelled) who were super informative and really cared about our experience. I have to say their energy and commitment really made this trip worth it and I'm very glad we had them!
First they explained that we would need to look for the dolphins to swim and we ended up finding some where a lot of the other boats were. These are wild dolphins and the reason why the excursion is so early is because that is the only time they will be close to the shore. It was a bit difficult to swim with the dolphins because they would often submerge themselves in the sea to get away from all the boats, so you'd have to time it really well to swim with them. I was somewhat lucky and got to see them swim under me but they weren't very close. You can request a life jacket if you're not a strong swimmer. My mum didn't even get a chance to swim 'with' them because as she got in the water they'd be gone. After a few attempts our guides asked us if we wanted to move on (again really lovely people) and our group agreed that it would be best to start the next activity. Something to be mindful of when you're in the water is where your boat is! I lost my bearings and was swimming in the opposite direction but luckily my mum called out to me. I don't think I wouldve been left stranded in the water as there are so many boats around and someone would've helped but still a bit of a scary situation.

Our next activity was snorkelling in a lagoon area with lots of fish! They put some fish food in the water so you end up being surrounded by them which is quite cool! And the water is not to deep and not too shallow so you can really explore.

After, we when you Crystal Rock which is a gorgeous coral which grows outside the water! I recommend wearing some goggles/snorkelling here because the water is shallow enough that you can stand up in it, however there are a lot of sea urchins and sea cucumbers so it's easier to avoid them if you can see them.

Our last stop was the island which we spent a lot of time on. There are no toilets on the island so if you need to do your business, you either do it in the water or in the woody areas. Also because the boats they use are speed boats, again no toilets on there, so your only option is really when you are in the water. Where we were sat there were loads of flies which is quite off putting when you're eating but hey, that's nature. I'm not sure if it was just where we were sat or if other groups experienced it too but just something to note. There isn't a lot to do on the island except swim or buy items from some of the stalls they have. Quite good prices and lots of variety too! I guess my issue was the amount of time we spent on the island, because we had to wait almost an hour before we ate, and then after we ate we had an additional 2 hours. So a total of around 3 to 4 hours on there which isn't super entertaining when there's not much to do except sunbathe, shop or swim. For food we had a BBQ lunch which was delicious, accompanied by unlimited drinks. Again our guides were amazing, serving us our drinks and telling us about things you can do on the island. They always made sure we were feeling good and were having fun!

I booked this trip for just me and my mum and we had it nearer the end of our holiday. That being said we had experienced some excursions in Mauritius before this so I think our opinion would be different if this had been the first excursion on our holiday.

From getting off cruise ship. Asleem our taxi driver was waiting ready with our name on it. He was polite and friendly and quickly showed up around all north attractions. Answered any questions we had and even had a joke to the story. He took us to a nice seafood restaurant for lunch after visiting botanical gardens. Local beaches and red Catholic Church were our last stop before making our way back to cruise ship in plenty off time. Would thoroughly recommend chucky and Asleem if doing a day tour from cruise ship. Thanks.
