I had the most amazing guide you can ever have down to earth and very knowledgeable! This is a must do when you come to Ethiopia if you want to experience the nightlife safely! Nothing but the most friendliest opening and welcoming environments and gives you a glimpse in an average nightlife of the Ethiopian people! The cultural dancing is amazing and gives you a glimpse of the different tribes and styles That makes Ethiopia a beautiful melting pot of culture! I can’t wait to come back to Ethiopia and do this Specific tour again. I will book this trip every time and you will wish you booked it for every night! I had one of the best guides and Ethiopia!! I wish I met him the first day!! Ethiopia is full of great people!!

The Addis Eats tour was a fabulous way to see Addis and experience great local food with a real expert. Our guide was informative and delightful. Thank you, Mulu! Highly recommend.

We went on this tour and it was fantastic. From start to finish our guide Meklit was a great host and really helped us understand and appreciate the culture. The food was incredible from start to finish. Breakfast and coffee at Chaka was so tasty. We also got to go around to the open market and select the ingredients to make dinner later at her house with her mom. Absolutely wonderful hosts, my wife was able to learn how to make shiro, tibs, gomen, and salad. Just mouth watering. To top it off we also experienced the coffee ceremony with our dinner. We felt like family. If you get the opportunity, go with Meklit. You won’t be disappointed

We had an amazing time exploring Addis Ababa with Aman Ethiopia Tours & Travel! Our guide, Jocy, and driver, George, made this experience unforgettable. From the moment we were picked up, we knew we were in good hands.
Jocy’s deep knowledge of Addis Ababa’s history and culture added so much value to the tour. She brought each site to life, whether we were visiting the National Museum or walking through Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa. Jocy’s enthusiasm was infectious, and she made sure we experienced the true essence of Addis.
George, our driver, was excellent. He navigated the busy streets of Addis with ease, and we always felt safe and comfortable. The van was clean and spacious, making the entire trip very relaxing.

This tour was the perfect combination of sightseeing, hands-on culinary experience, and shopping. Jocy and George made it a seamless and enjoyable adventure. I highly recommend Aman Ethiopia Tours & Travel for anyone wanting to experience the best of Addis Ababa!

Gashaw our guide met us at the airport and took us on a whistle stop tour of Adis Ababa.
We visited the museum where an informative guide introduced us to the back ground of Ethiopia as well as meeting Lucy.
We then drove to a vantage point top of Entoto Mountain where the views down over the city are breath taking. We had a coffee stop there too.
Next was a drive around the Mercato Africas largest market.
A visit to Topocas for coffee, try a Spreece. Topped off our visit with a cultural show which included authentic music & dancing whilst eating amazing local cuisine washed down with honey wine.

We highly recommend Gashaw , he is friendly, full of information and made our trip a special one. Even dropped us off at our hotel at the end of the evening.

    Thank you Gashaw 🙏🏼

What a fantastic time! Daniel not only facilitated a fabulous cooking class with his lovely family complete with recipes and hands-on training, but also opened his home and toured us around his lovely neighborhood up in the hills above Addis. He answered any and all of our questions about what it’s like to live in Ethiopia and was a fantastic resource for other opportunities for travel in the region. I would highly recommend this cooking class to anybody who wants an inside look into what it’s like to really live in Addis. Great value. The best thing we did while in Ethiopia.

I highly recommend Gashaw as a tour guide. He is professional, respectful and knowldgeable about Addis Ababa. He is more than happy to tailor your time around whatever you are most interested and excited about seeing in the city. For our tour, we visited Mercato and St George church (as well as stopping for coffee and tea a few times along the way). I would highly highly recommend talking to Gashaw if you are interested in seeing and learning more about Ethiopia

This was the second tour we undertook with Merit Tours and it was a half day trip with a visit to a local spice market, a traditional coffee ceremony, making Ingera and actually tasting home cooked Ethiopian food. The coffee ceremony, home cooking, etc was all at the home of our driver and was superb both in terms of quality and hospitality.

Moreover, based on the research we did, Merit Tours are a lot less expensive than many of the competitors. So "Win-Win" at all levels.

ETT provided us with another fun adventure in Addis. Our guide Leul was fantastic. We started by going the fruit and vegetable market. The size and amount of chaotic activity is really something to be seen. Its every bit as amazing as the merkato.
Next we went for breakfast. Leul took care of ordering. I highly recommend the mixed mango, pineapple and avacodo juice.
Next it was off to make injera. The three of us on the tour failed miserably. It is much harder than it looks.
Finally we headed to lunch and some wonderful shiro.

The only draw back to this tour is you do spend a good amount of time in a vehicle due to the traffic in Addis, but you get to see day to day life first hand.

    A great experience.

I have discovered wonders in the North of Ethioia. I have discovered things that I didn't even know existed. This tour was very cultural and very instructive.
Joseph was my Tour Guide. He did a great job explaining everything. He also a very flexible person who try to adapt to the need of the guest. I had one situation after the tour where I needed help to remove an issue, Joseph was there for me even the tour ended. He also helped with with other needs that were not related to the tour, like helping me get a sim card for my phone, buying my favorite fruits or eating my favorite meal. He has done everything to make those things possible. Aman was also very flexible. I had difficulty getting money from my card because my bank account was blocked. Aman trust me and still start the tour even I didn't pay him anything yet. He didn't want me to wait too long as he knew that I was in Ethiopia for just a few days. I appreciated the fact that he trusted me and made the tour possible for me.

What an amazing way to spend our Thanksgiving! Our family of 6 with adult children had the most lovely evening. Daniel and his wife Tigest hosted us in their home...
Started with a visit to the local market on the way-where they purchase their products...
Tigest had an excellent demo for a traditional Ethiopian base used with many dishes and then we all participated in the injera making! The other dishes were prepared in advance and perfectly timed...
Followed by a sit down dinner and coffee ceremony. Thank you for this memory!
