- Julie F1 contributionWe had a fantastic day. Our guide Danson was the best. He was such a gentleman, and he managed to get us to each of the stops at precisely the right time, with no long lines, and enough time to enjoy them without the crowds.
Danson took photographs of us along the way which was really nice. He knew the good stops to go to for the best views, and he was fun to be with. He shared a lot of knowledge about the area and the history and we learnt a lot.
We had plenty of time to enjoy Table Mountain, the penguins at Boulder’s Beach, The Cape of Good Hope and the scenery along the way.
Being a private tour meant we could decide how long we wanted to spend in each location.
The only thing we would change (and not a big deal) is to have lunch somewhere other than at a restaurant used by large tour groups - a private tour with a few guest has the ability to go somewhere more authentic and it would have been nice to have had a choice on where we could eatWritten January 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Prompt and polite communication with the tour operator and our specific tour guide, David. David picked us up from our hotel and he was an brilliant host for us all day providing plenty of information and answering all (and we had a lot!) of our questions. We saw some incredible things and as it was only me and my wife David gave us as long as we needed wherever we went. On the drive to Stellenbosch he gave us his explanation of the cultural history in South Africa and Stellenbosch in particular. We visited two wonderful vineyards in the morning with excellent red and white wines. For lunch we were consulted on our preferences and Louw suggested a lovely spot with great food. On the way he took us through the town and explained more of its history. After lunch we concluded with our final tasting at a wonderful vineyard with majestic views over the valley. - Stephen MChristchurch, New Zealand231 contributionsWe stayed at the Radisson in Sandton in Johannesburg, which was well protected and supplied a safe shuttle service (9am to 10.30pm) to the Mall by Mandela Square, which had great shopping and lots of Restaurants. Unfortunately the hotel did not have Baileys at the bar.
Our pick up driver from the airport was excellent guide, who advised on the do's and don'ts of daily living in Joburg. We also took a private tour of Soweto which was an eye opener to say the least but we learned so much and felt very safe.

- Emily B7 contributionsThis was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Our Zulu Safaris guide, Themi, was incredibly kind, considerate and patient. Themi has a knack of being present and available to help while also giving us space to enjoy the experience privately. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent driver, expertly navigating the windy mountain pass. He also taught us some Zulu words along the way. Most importantly, he was so kind, going above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and safe. He even waited with us after our tour to ensure that our ride home arrived to pick us up.
We had Themi as a guide for two tours on two different days. He made both tours exceptional and we are so grateful for that. It was our first time and they explained everything clearly and were super calm from take-off to landing. We absolutely loved it and I’m sure we’ll be back again for another one!
