We decided to go check it out and I can tell you with all honesty, I've been to a lot of museums in Italy, France, Spain, Great Britain, this one was by far my favorite of all.
Zaid who created and is care taker for this amazing museum and desert spring source is so passionate about his culture and heritage that it is infectious.
This private museum was recommended by the owner of the Riad I stayed in - and she said it is her favorite place in Marrakech - and I do agree - what a gem! Patrick, the owner, showed me his house and his art and...
Really nice museum made with a lot of love in an amazing Riad! you can also have a coffee on the rooftop terrace to relax a bit in the rush of marrakesch!
Berber Ecomuseum Marrakech
It seems that there is a confusion between 2 museums here on Tripadvisor, the Musée Berbère in Jardins Majorelle, and the ECOMUS'EE BERBERE in the small village og Tafza in the Ourika Valley.
Aimed at international crowd, I found it more informative than some of the local museums.
To make your visit as effective as possible - come early, as soon as 8 am and buy a combined ticket for Jardin Majorelle and both museums.
The Majorelle Garden, with its exquisite little Berber museum attached, has long been a favourite spot to visit in Marrakech when we are hosting visiting friends.
We visited other museums including the palace, Marrakech Museum & Medersa but this was the best.
One of the better museums in Marrakech, the terrace cafe is a bonus

Musee de Mouassine Marrakech
But unlike other museums I've seen in Marrakech, it really tells a story.
This museum is a restored house next to the Mouseine Mosque (currently being restored) its a bit difficult to find but its worth it: stunning architecture and an insight into the rugs of the Berber people.
Now it is a beautiful and quite lively museum with an outstanding variety of artefacts and documents. It has several dozen of rooms open to the public and the architecture is outstanding too.I really loved it even...
Definitely worth a visit, while, its a small wonderful Museum that tells you more about the influence and the Moroccan relations with the United States.
The museum offers a great variety of paintings from different artists around the world but also offers a wide collection of moroccan artworks.
The Museum gives you an outstanding summary of Morocco's contemporary art's history throughout samples of major Moroccan artists.

Very educational museum with an outstanding collection of turn-of-the-century and early 20th century travel posters, along with other Moroccan arts and knick-knacks.
This is an impressive museum made up of a private collection of paintings, fabulous old posters and stunning Moroccan pieces.
I learned from the museum at the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca that the white clay is hydrated, kneaded and rolled out before being cut into tiles.
Visiting museums in Morocco is a great, low cost way to understand more about this wonderful country and its people and culture.
Museums in Morocco cost $1 to $2 to enter.

Ancient Dar restaured and transformed in to a museum, breathtaking architectural details and amazing exhibition about shared sacred places.
A museum dedicated to the commonalities of the three Abrahamic religions, the Musee des Confluences is well worth a visit and lives up to its name.
It is one of the best little museums in Marrakech.
This museum is a superb addition to the Marrakech medina and well worth a visit.
Galerie la Kasbah Essaouira
I say "place" because it is hard to fit it into a single category: mainly it is a cross between a museum and an arts/cultural artifacts gallery, housed in a fascinating, beautifully preserved, classical Moroccan s...

Heritage Museum Marrakech
We visited several museums whilst in Marrakech and this was by far the best.
A beautiful riad situated in the medina, the museum has a wonderful selection of artifacts from various Moroccan subcultures.
Kasbah Museum Chefchaouen
This small museum has a nice little garden in the center courtyard and a tower that provides excellent views of the blue city.
There were nicely done information panels in one tower (none in English) and a small museum about local craftsmanship that was interesting as well.

This liitle museum houses a good collection of modern paintings, interesting photos, nice calligraphy and sculptures.
This museum is hard to find (we had to stop to ask a policeman).
One of the nicer museums you will ever get to visit, Villa des Artes showcases works from older established to young up and coming artists.
This is a very small museum, more like a nice gallery.

We decided last minute we'd spend a few hours touring the museums and we did this as a double with the Ben Youssef centre as they are next door to each other.
Museum includes art work, pottery and clay pieces and the maze like alleyways within the museum allows you to get a real feel of the history of the various works.
Amazing artefacts and what made the experience enjoyable was the knowledgable museum guide.
this is a wonderful museum, its like an art exhibition of ancient jewellery, and also the architecture of the museum is great.
