Well worth the drive across the island (we stayed in Hilo). The crew were very friendly and helpful with our kids and others. The experience in the water was amazing and unique to anywhere in the world. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing trip on Father's Day. We did the morning cruise, which included two snorkeling stops. We went with our six-year-old and he keeps asking to go back. I can't say enough about how welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful the crew was. The snorkeling spots were beautiful and we had the perfect amount of time at both spots. I was also impressed with the boat itself and the food that was provided. We will definitely be back during our next trip.

Great chance to see some beautiful fish, including an alligator gar! The coral was pretty as well! Unfortunately no turtles at Capt. Cook monument, but a lot of other crazy fish to see!

This is our second time we’ve gone with Hang Loose to snorkel at Captain Cook and they never disappoint. They have the kindest, most helpful captain and crew, and make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time.

The boat ride to and from Captain Cook is a blast. The snorkeling is amazing and we took full advantage of the jumping platform and slide on the boat. After snorkeling, they offer delicious sandwiches, snacks, fruit and beverages. Without a doubt, my family and I will go with Hang Loose anytime we are on the Island!

Captain Shelly and Rob were awesome today. They kept our safety in mind with the tide being choppy. So if safety is your concern then you should book with them. They also had lots of stories and knowledge about the land formations and Hawaiian history/culture. We took our two daughters (18 & 19) and they loved it as well. We would totally recommend them.

Captain Alan and Jayna were great hosts, very casual and fun. Kealakekua Bay gets very very crowded, this seemed to be the best time since many tours go either in the morning or the afternoon. We went in between the two so didn't have as many boats there, it was very nice snorkeling. You need to be a decent swimmer and should have some snorkeling experience, it was basically "here's your mask and snorkel, have fun." We also stopped at a couple of notable shore places on the way back, which added some nice touches. Thanks for the great tour!

This was the best trip. Good communication, good equipment, respectful of history and environment.
They grow the provided food on the family farm. The crew is very concerned about everyone on board and seem to accommodate every need. Age group of our tour was from about 18 months to 81 years. The bay is breathtaking.

This was a great experience, it may be a small boat but it was a big product. The Captain was great and the guide in the water was very knowledgeable. He knew the names of the Manta’s and gave answered all our questions. We saw so many Manta’s that some of them bumped into us. We did the 9:30 pm swim and loved it. The wet suit kept us warm enough to enjoy the swim. I would recommend smaller groups, it seems to get a more personal experience.

Eric was an awesome captain and tour guide. We were the first group to snorkel this morning. We loved the small size of the snorkel group and his knowledge to answer questions. Would certainly take this tour again!

One of the best experiences we had during our stay in Hawaii was with Martina and her Manta Ray Snorkeling tour.
We always felt comfortable, safe and in good hands - from the individual selection of snorkeling equipment so that the mask fits everyone correctly, to the meeting with the manta rays. The snorkeling equipment was of very high quality and fitted very well so that there were no problems during the tour in the water.
It's just great to snorkel directly from the beach and then see the animals in the water just a few meters later. So easy, so comfortable and enviromental friendly.
We were lucky enough to see four different manta rays that swam incredibly close to us. But don't worry, Martina always communicates with you and if you are afraid or don't want the animals so close to you, she will of course take this into account.
We highly recommend this incredible activity! It is worth every dollar!

The 20 min boat ride to Captain Cook was hard and fast so not ideal for young children and those who may struggle to hold on to keep from flying off the boat. We bounced around ALOT! Our older bones definitely felt the pain lol. This would definitely appeal to older teens and young adults who like fast rides and loud music. Once we arrived at Captain Cook, we had 45 minutes in the water, which was a bit disappointing as I had the understanding that we would have at least a full hour. Two young guys ran this operation - one guy was grumpy and preoccupied with his phone; the other guy was less grumpy.
