Saw the signs for “Free Goat Therapy” on the way to Akaka Falls and had to stop. So glad that we did! It was one of the most memorable finds during our trip. There was a small building that housed tons of handmade goods as well as homemade goat cheese, fudge and caramels. Plus you can purchase a bag of goat treats for $1 and go into the pasture to feed all the adorable goats.

Easy to make appointment, convenient location, cozy interior, lovely massage therapist. I’ve had many massages and this was up there.

My wife and I surprised my mom with a massage from Margie. She loved how she could hear the ocean and and the techniques she used. She said it was THE most relaxing massage she's ever had.

Enjoyed the Lomi Lomi couples massage in a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting this spa if you are on the island and looking for a message.

I was in Hilo recently and badly cramped after 7 hrs in the air. First time there, Googled massage and found Mana Wellness. Booked an hour with Olivia. She asked about my pain areas then left me to get ready. She’s not at all chatty and I think her quiet competence is part of her therapy. Best to close your eyes and follow her breathing. You’re not there to talk; you’re there to heal, and Olivia is a natural-born healer.
I asked what she was doing and she said a fusion of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Lomi, Thai Yoga, Shiatsu, Ashiatsu massage and reflexology. I only remember because she wrote them all down for me. I wondered if she was strong enough to break my deep knots. She was.
And then she went after my sciatica. It didn’t take long to realize that a single hour would be cheating myself and was lucky she had time for a longer session. My 2 hours were over way too soon. The next day I was tired and sore, as one would expect after a great massage and I was impressed when she called to ask how I was feeling. She’s a true healer. I recommend her highly.

Theresa provided me with two excellent, luxurious massages while I was visiting Kona. I highly recommend her & will look to schedule with her when we are here again!

I (she), usually come here every time I’m on this side of the island. The best massage therapist is the owner, Yanee Easley. As a personal massage therapist myself (he can vouch for me), I can attest that Yanee is the best of the best!!! Very knowledgeable, skillful, and such a warm person! I’ve experience two car accidents and have tried a vast amount of different therapists all over the world, and so I mean it when I say Yanee is the best!

I had a 110 minute deep tissue massage with Cheryl. Very good. The spa itself is an indoor/outdoor setting with private beachside cabanas for outdoor treatments or indoor treatment rooms. It is pricey! But then again so is everything on Hawaii.

After briefly considering using the spa services at our hotel at Hapuna Beach and being a little stunned by what you get (or do not get) for your money, I decided to look around nearby. I was so happy to find Blue Dragon for myself and my husband. We booked 90 minutes massages and virtually floated out of there. Mind you this is a massage studio, not a "spa", and these practitioners are not messing around. Also, everything smells so soothing. I love that this is a local business that takes pride in its work. Also, Renee, who I made the appointments with, is so lovely and helpful. Thank you Kachina and Shiloh!

Spa takes COVID-19 precautions so couldn’t do couples in same room. Facilities not open, so just go directly to room. Nice to hear the spa owners have taken care of their people through the closures and up and downs of the pandemic.

Had Balinese massage with therapist Max. It was one of the most therapeutic massages I have gotten. He is extremely talented and I recommend to anyone who is here that wants a sports / deep massage. Knowing the island is full of runners & triathletes - would recommend a visit with Max both before & after any competition.

I had the opportunity to take classes from Maya at the Mauna Kea resort and at her studio in Hawi. The resort classes are appropriately all-levels with great instruction and individual feedback. The class in Hawi is a more advanced class, and as good as any similar class in my home town of Santa Barbara. Over the course of two weeks, I saw Maya meet new students each class, address them by name and provide meaningful feedback during the class. She immediately recognized me at my first class even though it had been three years since the last time I took one of her classes. I've been taking yoga classes regularly (4 times or more per week) for more than 10 years, so its rare that I pick up something new and useful, but I did in Maya's class. If you are into yoga, you will love her classes. If you are new to yoga, her classes are an excellent introduction.

This was my highlight of our 5 days on big Island. Magic hands that instinctively know where you are sore. I can never sleep the night before travelling on a plane, but after this massage, I slept through the night and woke up so refreshed.
The best birthday present ever to myself. Just lie down, close your eyes, and listen to the coqui frogs sing to each other. Jacob would be my number one reason to return to Big Island one day. In fact, I would seriously consider trading in my husband for him. My only complaint, the massage was over too quickly.
