PG Tours

Punta Gorda
#1 of 12 Tours in Toledo District
Nice type of activities (butterfly farm, earth house, chocolate farm, drumming and cooking class, maya ruins,...) you can book with these experts in the region, which is much underrated!
Went on a tour with PG tours to the blue creek caves and the national park waterfalls; it was a really fun experience and excellent guide to take us around and tell us all about the caves!

Our family had a private drumming lesson with Ray when we were visiting Punta Gorda and it was super fun! Ray was very patient with us and our differing levels of drumming ability.
My friend and I had a drumming lesson and dancing lesson several months ago, and had a great time!

The gentlemen of this tour were personable, entertaining and highly knowledgeable about the area as well as the flora and fauna.
We left Monkey River with a sense of appreciation for the community that grew up there partly from Terry's stories and also from enjoying lunch in a family restaurant part way through the day.

Reyes, Antonia, Marcus, and Maria were wonderful hosts, warmly and articulately teaching us all how to make tortillas, touring the village, and touring their farm.
The Chun's son, Jeffrey, who recently graduated from high school, took us on a tour of Lubaantun, a sacred Mayan ruin site, and offered a great wealth of knowledge about Mayan history and customs.

I also have to commend Marciella for all her help in coordinating the tour for me (travelling solo, it's hard to find groups to join sometimes, but she was super helpful in this) and her clear and prompt communica...
The tour ends with a visit to one of the Mayan villages, where lunch is prepared by one of the numerous Women's Groups, who are happy to interact and share their life-style and culture.
