Our day started very early in San Ignacio. We were picked up at our hotel. We had a very small group, just me, my wife and 1 other person fromt he UK. We taken to the boarder crossing into Guatemala. No issues. This tour covers the $20 fee per person to leave Belize. We met our Guatemala driver and tour guide at the boarded and switched to their van. After the crossing we encountered several issues, but not the tours fault. First there was road construction and we had to wait about 25 minutes so we could pass. Then, we learned their was a local village that was on strike and were blocking the road to Tikal. Thi swas the only way in. We learned that the people of this town wanted to get jobs at Tikal. We had to wait about an hour and a helf in the town for a government official to come and sign a proclimation that promised them jobs in the park. These was much to do while we waited but walk around this street and try to see what was going on and check out small local market that had snacks ect. The guide said they should open up after an hour or so and he was correct. If they didn't open, they would have taken us to another smaller Mayan site. I am glad the road was finally cleared. The rest of the day was good. We arrived at Tikal and the guide showed us around and told us about the different structures, took us through the forest and pointed out monkeys and birds we saw along the way. Then we got some free time to climb some of the structures and look around. We finished up and went to lunch at a nearby restaurant. lunch was included with the tour. The only issue we had that day is that since the park was closed in the morning, none of people that tyically sold water int he park were there and the tour did not provide any water. Also, even if they were selling water, we may not have been able to purcase as we did not have Guatemala money. not sure if they took US dollars or Belize currancy. Would have been nice if the tour compnay was able to provide water. Even if they charge liek $5 more for the tour. So bring plenty of water with you.

Actun Tunichil Muknal or ATM Caves were amazing thanks to our excellent informative good-humoured guide Gliss from Belize Family Adventures who kept us all safe with his expert guiding This tour required us to wear hard hats with head torches for most of it, walking on the flat on wide well cleared jungle paths for approx 1km to the cave entrance from the park entrance wading through three parts of a river, swimming (the only swimming required) for about 5m at the cave entrance and walking (plenty uneven terrain) and scrambling over rocks wading through water for more than 50% of the trail inside the cave, squeezing between rocks (quite tight in a few parts) for approx 2.5km inside the cave and the same in reverse to return to the park entrance Gliss pointed out the artefacts, some skeletal remains of the humans sacrificed and gave us a good outline of the Mayan culture Cameras including mobile phones are banned (only photos I took are of the guide Gliss and the huge cornfield en route) The only thing cave visitors are permitted is a water bottle that must not be left behind
Be prepared to be wet throughout the cave visit and a bit cold when deep inside the cave
Lunch prepared by the Belize Family Adventures staff was excellent Belizian rice with beans, chicken stew and coleslaw, a salad for the vegans/vegetarians This tour averages about 5h and most cave visitors are ravenous at the end Transport to and from our hotel was included We had an excellent driver Jamed who shared his knowledge about plants trees and agriculture in the region

Great day trip to Tikal! Quick trip to the border, took about 30 minutes to cross the border. Once in Guatemala, Israel was a great driver for the hr plus drive to the park. Our guide, Luis, was fantastic and we spent about 3+ hours in the park. Absolutely stunning. Definitely wear good shoes! Great experience, would highly recommend!

We looked at many ATV tours in Belize and chose this one because of the 4hr duration including waterfall hike and the proximity to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and San Ignacio. We made the right choice!
We had our own car, so we drove to their facility an met up with our guide. The Tour was only my wife and me. We are both experienced riders, so we were hoping for a fun but challenging trip. We got both! We drove full speed down paved roads, climbed some fairly steep grades that were strewn with lots of loose rock and small boulders, ripped down dirt roads through the jungle with some awesome mud holes. We drove through fields of habanero's, herds of cattle and eventually made it to the waterfalls. We did not swim but it was beautiful.
I do not suggest this trip for people with no ATV experience! The ATV's are not fully automatic, you need to shift but there is no clutch so it's not to difficult. The terrain at times is rugged and you need some decent upper body and core strength. I suggest wearing water shoes with hiking soles. Some of the mud holes can be deep enough to drench your shoes! The hike to the waterfall is a bit challenging and pretty steep in places. The guides have made handrails to use on some of the steeper sections which definitely helps! We did have to stop for a couple breathers on the way back from the falls (all up-hill) but we are in our mid 50's.
If you are comfortable on an ATV, and don't mind some hiking, book this trip without hesitation you will have an awesome time.

What a pleasant day we had on this tour! In the morning we visited Xunantunich, and our guide, Eder, gave us such interesting information about this Mayan ruin! He presented a "vision" of what it was like to live long ago! After the archeologic exploring we changed gears for an afternoon of natural beauty, a bit of physical action (hiking into a waterfall, then swimming in the waterfall pools) interspersed with relaxation on a huge double-decker pontoon, as we navigated the Macal River. Jovanni was our boat captain, guide and chef, preparing a delicious meal which was cooked on a pontoon grill. He brought us to explore all his favorite places; caves, pools, beaches, that he frequented as a young boy. This area was once his "backyard" and we could FEEL his love for this land ... which made our experience even more worthwhile. Jovanni provided a lush, but safe, experience, and brought out the "kid" in us (75 year olds!) Thanks Eder and Jovanni for gifting us an amazing 10 star experience!

Dimas was an amazing tour guide. Our friends, my wife and I toured Mayan ruins and then did the cave float. Both are so highly recommended! Especially if you get Dimas as a guide!

Jose and Mark were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Jose made our less experienced riders comfortable and made sure everyone was good at every stop. It was a great way to spend the day. Even an early afternoon downpour couldn’t dampen our spirits. I would use this company for other tours.

Leo took us on an awesome day tour to Caracol, followed by a swim stop after lunch!
Most passionate to share his wide knowledge of Belize, its history and his first hand experience working at Caracol. We take away great memories and are now even more curious about Mayan culture and history! Thanks Leo!!

I would recommend this tour to absolutely anyone interested in experiencing these two places. We got lucky and had a private tour with our awesome guide, Demas! He got us to ATM first, which was incredible. The cave was quiet, the waters calm, and we felt like the only ones for much of the exploration. However, there’s tight spaces, rock climbing, and it was nerve wracking at first. Then it became serene and we saw Mayan artifacts that have been naturally preserved for ages. After that, he fed us Belizean food and drove us to Xunantunich. It was later, so a bit hotter, but again we missed all the crowds. There’s an incredible view of Belize + Guatemala from the top and we learned a ton about the Maya. We saw plenty of wildlife and gawked at the once great civilization. Demas was super knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. His experience gave him insight in how to plan the tour to maximize our enjoyment and miss the crowds. 10/10 would do again.

Our guide Carla was awesome! She was extremely knowledgeable about the ruins and was very attentive during horseback riding. Would definitely recommend riding through the rainforest. Truly a unique experience!

Our guide, Jose, was wonderful. He took great care of us and made sure we had a blast. Jose went above and beyond for us.

The caves are one of the most beautiful geologic features I've ever seen, and the cultural remains are stunning.
