This hike is steep and challenging so you will earn your waterfall swim afterward. Then go to the waterfall for a quick chilly swim – so refreshing after the lookout hike. I was nervous about our safety and that all the moving parts from the online booking, to the ride from Ambergris Caye to Belize and being picked up and delivered back along with all the other stops and fine details would be taken care of. Well, they were! Everything was completely smooth from the start to finish. This even included me talking with Dennis through text and email just to iron out some of the details the week before this excursion. Brown Sugar is super nice and was genuinely concerned with us having a memorable experience that he not only provided excellent customer service, but he went above and beyond to ensure that I had the souvenir that I wanted but couldn't find. He came through for me! The best tour guide ever! Thank you for keeping us safe, happy and wanting to come back! - AM20 contributionsWe are just back from a Panama Canal cruise and spent a wonderful day in Belize cave tubing through Vitalino's company.
From the moment we booked months in advance, to our greeting at the pier to our private tour including a guide and driver, it was a fantastic day.
Our guide was very personable and gave us a wonderful overview of Belize, its culture, people, and geography.
Once we arrived to the cave site, the walk to the caves was an easy, interesting walk on mostly gravel and flat land.
The overall experience within the caves was outstanding with our guide stopping at various points while we sat in the very comfy tubes. He spent time explaining key highlights in the caves, while other tours passed by with no detailed explanation which we were fortunate to get.
After the caves, we went to the tour company's office/home where we were served a lovely lunch of chicken, rice and coleslaw.
From there, we headed back to the ship in plenty of time.

All turned out amazing, Ellsworth was our driver and he showed us a private experience we will never forget, thank you my friend!! Lunch was not our favorite as we have picky eaters in our group and there were not any choices. - Jaimie W2 contributionsWe did a tour of Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, ziplined, and kayaked the caves branch river with V.I.V. tours while staying in San Ignacio and couldn't have more great things to say about them. The lunch was tasty, the price was reasonable, and the guides were very knowledgeable and fun. - Chris DunnTemecula, CA22 contributionsThis was my second time with King David , he is the best around when it comes to seeing what Belize has to offer , I always feel safe knowing I'll get back to the ship on time , we dropped off school supplies to a local school and cave tubing. And had a awesome lunch on the way back . He is always on his A game, knowing what each guest needs or requires for each tour, my friend and I are over weight and he was very patient and understanding of what we needed . You know you're in good hands with the King . Don't hesitate to book . David keep up the great work. - bobglass1959georgetown, ky4 contributionsI booked the sharks & rays snorkel excursion in advance directly through this company, not Carnival. Natalie meet us at the pier. She directed us to a shady spot while the rest of our group disembarked. Just around the corner from the Carnival dock was a smaller dock with our boat awaiting. Captain Mark was skilled & kind to a fat, old crippled man!
45 minute boat ride out to Caye Caulker. Bathroom break & ordered lunch for after snorkeling.
Sharks & rays were on a sand bar just belly deep. Mark chummed the water & here they came. As close as you want to get! Natalie patiently let everyone touch sharks & rays. Then snorkeling on the reef.
With 2 knee replacements I'm no longer a strong swimmer. It was a drift snorkel.
After 30 minutes I was simply out of gas. No problem...Natalie, a certified rescue swimmer, had plenty of motor to tow me back to the boat.
She was not only a beautiful woman but strong!
Then back to Caye for lunch. 2 lobster dinners for $45. What a bargain.
After lunch we walked down the beach. Found some beautiful wood carving.
Wonderful island I could easily spend 2-4 weeks in the winter.
On the opposite side of the island we hand feed juvenile tarpon...awesome!
On the ride back Captain Mark pointed out a osprey. I asked & he turned to get a closer look. Thank you sir.
Arriving back at the dock Natalie loaded us up in a van. Took us to a monster gift shop for post cards she was kind enough to buy postage & mail. Then back to Carnival.
I was happy to give her a generous tip.

Everything was perfect and we had a great experience with transportation, tubing & lunch. Luis is very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a little bit of a walk with the tubes to get to the river but it wasn't bad at all. When we were finished he took us back to our Airbnb so we could gather our luggage and he took us a new hotel that we decided to stay at. - Tonia M120 contributionsThis was a great excursion. We felt a bit "Indiana Jones" as we traveled by bus and Jungle cruise to get to the ruins. We were able to climb the ruins and take a lot of photos. We were just ahead of the cruise line excursion, so we had extra time and we had photos without a crowd of people in them. We saw crocodiles, several species of birds, and howler monkeys. It was fun! The included lunch was very good. We were not worried about missing our cruise, even when our time on land was shortened by an hour. - Tammy W2 contributionsNatalie, 2 tall, (Mr. Lyndel Pook) as well as the rest of the boat crew were very nice, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and I felt very safe and in good hand with Natalie as our guide. The excursion swimming with the rays and sharks and snorkeling on the reef was one of the very best experiences we have been on. Getting to feed and see the Tarpon was a bonus. - Rick D7 contributionsCarlos did an excellent job explaining the area as we travelled to the St Herman’s cave tubing tour. It was a very beautiful relaxing float though the cave. We felt completely safe and at ease with Carlos at all times. The lunch at the roadside tiki bar was great as well. The ride to the inland Blue Hole was well worth the trip also. Riding through area was just as interesting with Carlos’ narration and explanations of what we were seeing. Ms. Kim and Ishelle made sure everything ran smoothly through 12 days, four resorts, all transport to five ancient sites, Mayan culture, zip lining, cave tubing, and then to the island for snorkeling and beach time. Our guides were amazingly knowledgeable and friendly, and our trip was fabulous! For the same price as the ship’s excursion, we got a personalized experience, including comfortable private transportation and a relaxing trip away from the crowds. - barbara kMichigan23 contributionsJose was an excellent guide. We were able to tour the Zoo before the majority of visitors and he had great knowledge of the Zoo and all its animals. We had a very enjoyable lunch on the way to Altun Ha ruins, where again he described the area, history, and many small facts that made it a real learning experience. He answered all our questions and made the day most pleasurable. The van was very clean and comfortable with a cooler of refreshing drinks.
