We were walking by & I was taking a picture of my wife & this guy that looked like a Mayan Indian named Gary, made me laugh, got a picture with him & just the sign.

Just one of a "modest stature" is how I would describe this brick cathedral (with not two but just one tower and no high & wide front facade or such) but which yet is a charming one which I would say is also in part due to its "nice & neat" grounds (mainly a small lawn but also like a mini-garden with a pathway along the edge which goes all the way around the Cathedral). And yes, after the walk around the building & taking a peek inside from the entrance was just heading back out due to the admission (which I never had to pay on my cathedral visits except at some big cathedrals with museums & such inside which I'm quite sure is not the case inside this one).

And actually just across the street from one side of this cathedral is the Government House which is a 2-storied beautiful heritage building with a spacious front lawn & a not-too-high lovely fence (but closed to public at the time due to some renovation or such going on). And also nearby, at just about a 5-minute walk from this cathedral (by heading back along the street between this cathedral & the Government House in the direction of downtown but a right turn shortly after leaving) is the waterfront area like a "long promenade" from which there's a view of both the Creek & the sea beyond (from near one end of the promenade).

A means to cross the creek and need of major repairs or replacement. Allows one to get a picture of the harbour or cruise ship docked out from shore.

I didn't want to go here because I heard a lot of stories about going in city but we tried it and survived. Area is very small and not much to see. It was amazing though to see how they set everything up differently. If you want to see it and not afraid of the city's stories then go see.

This colonial style Supreme Court bldg is one of only two buildings worth seeing in Belize's major city.
It stands at the beginning of the main Albert St, while the other one - the St. John's Church is at its end.
However, it's just a quick photo stop and nothing more.

This cemetery is considered 'full'. It is located between two busy streets, close to the Old Anglican Church. There are no trees or other shade, so a visit in daytime will be hot! Not sure whether a visit at other hours would be considered 'safe'.

Although it memorializes Belize's independence from British Honduras, it is one of the least noteworthy monuments I have seen in most countries. We passed by it on our 1.5 hour horse and buggy tour of the city and had the driver not pointed it out and given us its history we probably wouldn't even have photographed it! Oh well, this is Belize after all and as our guide explained, they view themselves as a third world country.

My husband and I purchased tanzanite earrings, ring and bracelet when we were visiting Belize. Cristian Reyes (Manager) and Monica Marriott were so helpful and so so friendly! We were a little leary about buying but so glad we did! They told us it would appraise for more than we purchased it for. When we got home we got it appraised and they were right!! We are very happy with a purchase. Thanks again Monica and Cristian!!

Wow, so happy they have opened a store in the Cayo Welcome Center, San Ignacio. Prior to moving to Belize, I would stock up at the airport to take goodies home to try. As a foodie, I love to cook and they have the most amazing selection of spices and blends. Excellent for those of us who live here and convenient for travels to take home the taste of the Caribbean. Try one, try them all, you won't be disappointed! Right across from the San Ignacio Market.
