It’s was a great experience!! Our tour guide was fantastic very knowledgable. To top it off a complete downpour (rain) provided us with extra fun! The walk to the water was an awesome walk in the wilderness.

Wow! This was an amazing experience and such an enjoyable and educational way to see the remarkable underground caves of Belize. We had to tender to the port but it was no trouble finding the station where Charlie’s employees were located as all of them were wearing blue Superman shirts which all read “Charlie Chan’s Excursions”. We had 14 members of our family on the excursion and Charlie provided a comfortable, air conditioned van with a cooler filled with bottled water. Our guide, Brett, was so incredibly informative and spent the entire hour long drive to the caves pointing out local points of interest until we arrived at the site. We were able to rent Crocs or other water proof shoes as well as waterproof lanyard type plastic covers for cell phones so we could safely take pictures and videos throughout our expedition. We walked on a well worn path and waded across a creek for about a mile (30 minute walk) until we arrived at the starting point. We were each fitted with a comfortable flotation tube and a lighted safety helmet as well as a life vest. There were 14 of us ranging in age from 4-74 and the walk as well as the tubing experience was very manageable! Brett and another guide from the site adeptly hooked all our tubes together in rows of two and pulled/pushed our family through the caves explaining all about the areas of interest. So many fascinating stalagmites and stalactites. Towards the end of the cave, Brett encouraged us to hop out of the tubes and we all happily bobbed along the easy moving current until we came to the end of our tour! That was an unbelievable, memorable experience! After the tubing, we came back to the main entrance, changed into dry clothes and got back in our air conditioned van where Brett and the driver, Jonathan, had a cooler full of cold bottled water. We were taken to a charming local, open air “pub” for a Belizian lunch of rice, beans, chicken and salad along with water and/or soda. After lunch, we were returned to the port in plenty of time to board the ship before the mandatory set-sail time. I would highly recommend Charlie’s cave tubing excursion! The entire family considered it a real highlight of our cruise and we’re so pleased that we booked through Viator to go with Charlie’s group!

My daughter and I went to Belize for my birthday. We booked a tour through this company, and the services were wonderful. Our tour guide was professional and knowledgeable. He made it his mission to ensure that we had a great time. We had a blast! He did an awesome job! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Abel was...The tour was educational, and the lunch was exceptional. I would recommend Cave Tubing Paradise and Belize Adventures for everything Belize and some.

The cave tubing was amazing, Edione (eh-dee-OH-nee) was an excellent, funny, and personable guide. He worked hard, literally, keeping the tubes going, or going not so fast in the quicker water.

MayaWalk is an excellent choice as the travel van was modern and air conditioned (not a given in Belize) and the office where you might wait in the morning is also modern, clean, and air conditioned.

WHAT I WISH I KNEW BEFORE: we arrived at the tour essentially ready to hop in the water. But there is a nice changing facility at the cave. I wish I’d brought my wallet and phone. There is WiFi at the lunch restaurant.

The cave tubing was mostly low-key, but there was some walking around inside the cave that was a bit tricky and some short stretches where we had to swim. It was the right level of adventure for us as we weren’t comfortable with lots of very tight spaces.

I would definitely choose MayaWalk, and Edione, for future trips!

Took a early morning Cave tour, picked up right in time by Naziel, the young man was well versed in his Countries history. We were very impressed with him. He gave us points of interest along the ride, he did a hell of a job during the Cave portion of the tour.
Got us back to the hotel safely mid afternoon.
Would definitely recommend him and this Company.

We had an amazing time on this excursion. While the vehicle that picked us up needed a lot of work (cracked windshield, lack of cleanliness, over bad shape) & at times we worried it might break down, and the commute was a little over an hour, when we got to the destination, the activities were great! We loved zip lining, and the cave tubing was also a great experience. Our tour operator was very professional and made sure we were safe and was very informative for sharing history with us about the country. Be prepared for a half hour hour walk through the jungle to get to cave tubing, but once you get there, it’s worth it! At the end of it all, our operator purchased a meal for us that we had to eat in the car in order to make it back to the boat on time. The food was good, but the condition of the vehicle made the meal a little less appetizing. The company really should work on updating the vehicle, because this has been a concern for many people in other reviews. The vehicle makes people concerned about their safety, which may turn them away from wanting to take part of an amazing.

The owner of Private Belize Adventure was great communicating via email, text, and phone call prior to our private tour. We drove our golf cart to the water taxi and after an hour and a half we reached Belize City. We were enthusiastically welcomed by The General! As we traveled through the country he patiently answered our numerous questions and provided a thorough explanation of things we passed (ie we actually stopped at a cashew tree to see how it was grown prior to being processed and packaged). We had a great hike at he Xunantunich ruins! The General gave us enough time to hike and actually be present and enjoy the site. We were pleased and the excursion wasn't even over yet! The best was yet to come when we went cave tubing. Our party had never been in a cave and The General guided us through slowly (we even saw bats!). Hiking up the rainforest to the mouth of the cave was truly an experience. The General explained flora and fauna along the way, The cave was magnificent (pictures will never do it justice), the water was cool and clear, but the experience was PRICELESS. We did not want to zipline, and instead had a mini tour of Belize City upon our return. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience!

Was picked up at the Royal Caribbean port (terminal 2) after getting there by ferry. VIV was waiting just outside and was easily identified by the guard and their shirts. Ended up waiting about 45 minutes for the rest of the people that reserved to show up. There was 6 of us off the ship and we picked up another 3 from a nearby hotel. The van fit us easily and the AC was able to keep us all comfortable. The driver stopped at a local gas station for us to get any drinks or snacks and let us know the pricing was in local currency. The drive to the park took about an hour during which time the other tour guide filled us in all about Belize.

During the ride over anyone that wanted to purchase a lunch paid the tour
guide ($10) and they had the food ready once we returned from the tubing.

Once we got to the park we were able to rent some very cheap crocs. You should plan to bring something to walk over rocks with that can get wet. You can leave stuff in the van which we did so we had a dry set of cloths to put on. There is a large changing room at the park.

The walk which includes 3 river crossing took about an hour over mostly level dirt and rock trails. We had a girl about 10 and a grandpa about 70. The guides were needed to assist them in the river crossings.

Once we got to the caves, the inner tubes were already there and inflated. We took some pictures and then the guides broke us up into two groups. Each group gets connected together and stays connected for the entire cave tour. The guide maneuvers the group the entire way and narrates the entire way; pointing out various highlights in the caves. His English was excellent. After the caves there was a leisurely float back to the starting point during which time he allowed those able to swim to leave the inner tubes.

Overall very enjoyable tour that I highly recommend.

I've been on a few kayak tours before, but never like this. It was an amazing experience to see the beautiful caves, even better on a kayak. It was like traveling back in time. We saw bats, cave swallows, and stunning rock formations. Just the hike to the kayak launch point was spectacular. Fabulous was our tour guide. From the moment he picked us up, we were educated about the region of Belize. He knew all of the local flora and fauna and was very charming. As a cherry on top, he had it set up so that we had food waiting for us after the tour. Highly recommend.

Dorian and his crew provided transportation, guide, lunch, and tickets to the River of Caves tube float and the Belize zoo. They picked us up at our hotel in Belize City right on time and managed to get us to the river float before the cruise ship hords arrived (3? in port same day due to hurricane-forced rerouting of many cruises). The knowledgeable guide, Earl, stopped at a nice, clean little country restaurant for a traditional Belizean lunch before getting us to the zoo where he personally guided us through. Returning to the hotel was a “piece of cake” and we were back mid-afternoon in time for a lounge by the pool. Very recommended.

What a day! Our tour guide “Fab” was absolutley fabulous. You can tell he has a passion for this job. We learned so much about the Mayans and the temple, then off to zip lining which was a blast, and last was the caves. The cave kayaking was unreal. It was a full day of excellent adventures. We always opt for semi-private or private tours so we can learn more and get the added personal touch. Fab and V.I.V. Tours totally delivered!

The communication with Mike via email while planning our trip to Belize was excellent. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We did Altun Ha & cave tubing and it was excellent! Randy, our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the sites, the history of Belize and every other topic we spoke about. A great conversationalist! I highly recommend this tour company!

We had an unBELIZEable time, as it was put for us from our fantastic guide Sharon! We really loved this experience. Sharon was amazing. She was knowledgeable, engaging and became our friend! We would definitely take another tour with her. She made the experience better than it would have been without her. The tour itself was beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely spend my time doing this on another trip. Thanks Sharon! And thanks Abner for driving us to and from the event!
