Though we are usually independent hikers/travelers, we were happy to have the expertise of an experienced guide on this tour. Spectacular time in the cave negotiating a rock/river route through stunning rock formations and with very interesting, informed commentary from JC. Small groups were well managed, giving sense of personal adventure despite large number of visitors. Hearty meal after the hike was a great way to end the tour. The pick-up, drive to trailhead, and return went smoothly despite the sometimes muddy road, with guides sharing interesting information about the history of the area along the way. Din, Eddie, and Gerry were funny yet extremely professional. I did not interact with the rest of the crew, but I can assure you that they were just as good. The food was really tasty as well!
Was able to swim with a manatee, turtle, stingrays & many nurse sharks!

We’ve never had a guided tour like this, but it was wonderful to have a local person to answer all of our questions and give us the inside scoop on things. - Explorer240114529293 contributionsMy husband and I had an amazing adventure snorkeling with our great guides Kyle and Nick. Ridge and Reef lived up to and beyond our expectations. Taiz picked us up in a golf cart at Grand Caribe. What an excellent driver! If you've driven a golf cart in San Pedro, you know it can be a challenge. She was great! Hol Chan was filled with fish, we saw a sea cucumber and brain coral and much more. Nick made sure we saw everything and kept us safe. But wait til you get to Shark Alley. The guides were super fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. The snorkeling was fantastic and I felt very safe and cared for the whole time.

- Tom O4 contributionsOur three guides were excellent: Jason, Brian and Janella. Great tour. They picked us up from our dock. We hit Hol Chan for a group snorkel - super fun and informative with turtle spotting and eagle ray; then on to feed the nurse sharks; then looked for manatees; then over to open snorkel- really fun to explore on your own; then to the sunken barge - cool to see that environment; then to Tarpon Cove to feed some massive fish and the frigatebirds. Great experience, bring your waterproof Go-Pro. Well worth the fee. We were picked up at our hotel by our driver/guide Fab who gave us a history of the area on the 30+ mile drive out to the boat landing where Amir was waiting to take us up the New River to the temple site. The boat ride took a little over an hour. Along the way, Amir would stop to point out various wildlife including crocodiles and many different types of birds, including a rare sighting of a Jabiru stork, the largest bird in Belize. Once we arrived and Lamanai, Amir gave us an excellent guided tour. He is extremely knowledgeable having guided there for many years. After the tour, we had a delicious lunch of chicken, rice and beans, and plantains before Amir drove us downriver in his boat where Fab was waiting to take us back to our hotel. Unfortunately we waited too long and all trips were full - book early :) Catamaran Belize was so helpful in offering various customized private options as well as recommending a similar group tour. So responsive, kind, and helpful! - winkyLLondon, UK96 contributionsWhat a fabulous day out with Carl as our captain. We got to feed giant fish jumping out of the water, and Frigate birds. Snorkle with sharks and stingrays and snorkle along the coral reef which was amazing. Even stopped off on way back and spotted a seahorse. Would definitely recommend.
