As usual, we saw many beautiful wading birds, osprey, warblers, cardinals, hawks, gators, etc. Highly recommend that you get out of your car to talk to birders that can make it even more fun and educational!
What a fantastic find, 35 minutes from International Drive, we drove around the trail and within 5 minutes had seen Gators, Osprey, Great and Little Egrets, Storks, Vultures, Herons, Kestrel, Bald Eagle etc. etc.

Had the most amazing time tubed down the spring twice with my son, saw fish and birds and turtles.....with so many theme parks in the area this was the best way to beat the crowds and enjoy nature at its finest.
A stunningly natural park where you can swim in the crystal clear spring waters, take a walk through the park taking in the wonderful scenery, play a ball game or just relax.

We played in the springs, ate lunch, brought snacks, rented a kayak, saw alligators, turtles, friendly humans to wave to, tons of fish, diverse crowd, fun snack/souvenir shop.
If you like to snorkel, you can easily float the river run without a raft and see the different limestone formations and rock collections along the river bottom (..look for sharks teeth..).

We learned the technique and saw how easy it is to acknowledge your stress and how to surrender to it... Kevin showed us the animals and gave us time to admire their beauty and sometimes connect to some of them.
Kevin Rose is an awesome guide through the animal preserve and has a depth of knowledge and wonderful spirit.

Wonderful staff who’s wonderful efforts to protect the birds of prey in the area (from residential housing to rehabilitation for release) are making an impact and is a worthy cause to support.
It’s $8 to get in but it’s worth every cent, they give you a guide book it’s a self guided tour, the book tells you about the bird and then gives the individual bird stories.
