Amazing place, so many alligators, birds and turtles, it was a non-stop wildlife extraviganza.

you take a slow ride around a fixed circuit, lots of gators, so close to the sides of the ride

Amazing natural lazy river with super clear water. Feels like you are floating through a tropical oasis. We were there on a weekday in March and it was very busy so get there early. We brought our own tubes. There are lots of picnic tables and restrooms were clean.

Great place for snorkling, we saw fish and turtles. Make sure you check out the spring vent. Nice walking trail. It is a long way down from the parking lot and not a lot of space to spread out. We were there on a weekday in March and it was very busy so plan on arriving early. Bathrooms were dirty.

I ride this trail at least twice a week. You can go for many miles or do shorter trips. I usually go out about 7 miles to do a 14 mile round trip. Starting in downtown Winter Garden I like to head towards Oakland. You do cross streets but with some caution it doesn’t have to slow you down. Really fun ride and when you’re done you can grab lunch in Winter Garden.

The park offers a breath of fresh air, quite literally. The natural surroundings are well-preserved and provide a serene environment that's perfect for a day out with family or friends.

One of the highlights of my visit was the fun tubes available for families. They added an element of fun and adventure to the experience, making it a memorable one for both kids and adults.

The park also offers a nice hike, which I found to be a great way to explore the area and take in the beautiful scenery. The trails are well-maintained and offer a good mix of easy and challenging sections.
Rock Springs Run is a great place to visit if you're looking for a fun and refreshing outdoor experience. The park is clean, the facilities are excellent, and the natural beauty is truly breathtaking. I highly recommend it!

Great gravel trails, good for bikes, runners and walkers. We enjoyed our tour of the lake, using the gravel trails. Saw many gators (thankfully on the other side of the canals) and birds.

We also stopped by the overlook, but is a bit far from the lake to really give water views.

The starting points have restrooms and picnic tables, so plan your activity ahead, especially for water supply in warmer months.

If you like to be "birdy" while walking for free along the Epopka loop trail here goes a good suggestion, and is free: Magnolia Park. You also can ride a bike. While you walk you can take pictures of alligators, turtles, rabits and, of course, birds. There is a map in the Park which shows all animals you can find there, including bobcats. Unfortunately I did not see one, but I will share my pictures with you. You can reach the old water pumping house in 4 miles.

Great education and informed rehabbers. They do not charge but gently request a 5 dollar donation. Lots of birds to see and they release so many that they rehab.

This farm may be the smallest winery in the state of Florida but the passion shown by owners John and Sherry is enormous.
Our site was level and our campsite faced the vineyard. It was a beautiful setting. John gave us a private tasting on 4 of their signature wines.
All of the wines were great so we chose 2 bottles plus 2 glasses. This winery was the 3rd Harvest Host that we experienced and we were not disappointed. Ranger the wonder dog kept an eye on everything. Must see.

The place is tiny but adorable. You could extend the experience and spend an hour there, but you can see everything in less time.
Many Native American artifacts and exhibits showing what life was like for the early Apopka

After finding the church - it wasn't easy even with GPS - we discovered the doors locked. Parked nearby was the former pastor who opened the church for us and explained everything. Not only is the church beautiful, the former pastor was inviting, welcoming, and friendly.

What a great place to bring your big (or little) fella. There are two distinct parks for larger dogs (shish chances every few months to re-grow the grass) and the smaller dog side.

Plenty of room to roam and places for the humans to sit and talk.

The people were friendly and enjoyed coming here regularly.

Occasionally, some people don't follow the guidance of "big" dogs on the small side, but you can't make someone not be an a-hole.

Plan to park on the "non" cemetery side in the parking lot. Some park in the parking on the cemetery side, but it's chalk full of pot holes and unless you have an SUV, don't bother.
