A local brewery with everything on display. No tours.
A board has the daily brews available for tasting and purchasing. The beers do have descriptions and the staff can steal you in the right direction when you tell them what you're looking for.
All seating, which is limited, is on the wraparound porch/sidewalk.
You can also buy brews in cans.
Good place to have a beer with friends.

The enthusiasm and the genuine interest of the docents was genuine and informative. We learned a lot about life in the 19th century in Florida. The format is very relaxed. The cost is suggested donation. It really is a wonderful place to start to know Apalachicola. The hardwood floors are absolutely amazing given the climate. Also enjoyed the 19th century clothing on display.

This is a small but informative museum that houses information about Dr. Gorrie's invention, as well as the history of Florida State Parks. You can see Dr. Gorrie's gravesite and also a historical marker.

We're glad we stopped. The city is also quaint and enjoyable.

Beautiful historical house. Our ranger (Rountree) was informative and entertaining, we loved him! The gardens were pretty as well.

We Kayaked across from the boat launch at the end of Indian Pass Rd. (we stayed in the RV park there for 3 nights...perfect access spot) it was pretty windy but its a very short easy paddle across despite the tidal inlet.

There is a short clearly maked hike as well as a bunch of sand roads...my wife LOVED walking the beach and collecting shells. There are tons of them since its not very easy to access.

We hope to return and kayak the back side of the island. Very beautiful and unspoiled!

Visitors please be aware that some of the reviews here refer to the Ghost Walks held at Chestnut Street Cemetery twice a year by the Apalachicola Area Historical Society (AAHS) as a fundraiser highlighting our local history. This nonprofit local historical society manages the cemetery on behalf of its owners, the City of Apalachicola. AAHS has done a lot to clean up the cemetery and have professionals look into restoring parts of it, plus learning more about its history and the lives of those buried there, including burials in unmarked graves.

There's a newer ghost tour venture by the name of Apalachicola Ghost Tours. It's my understanding that this is a for-profit business, and it's not the same as the ghost tours offered twice a year by our Historical Society. I can't speak to the quality of the tours offered by this business because I haven't been on one. But I've been a volunteer for the AAHS ghost walks ever since their inception, mostly guiding groups of participants around the cemetery. I hope this information is useful.

This waterfront museum was badly damaged by Hurricane Michael in October 2018, and has not re-opened as of September 2019. It had been an interesting historical place, with old nautical artifacts and tidbits of information about the rich maritime history of the area. Hope they open again.

The Veteran’s Memorial of three servicemen is located with the Chapman Botanical Gardens and Orman House. It is a beautiful tribute to Veteran’s.

Saw comedian Earl David Reed here, fantastic show. This is a wonderfully restored classic old time theater. Very small venue so if you do find a show you want to attend go early to get a good seat shows are general admission. Don’t shy away from the balcony..unless you have kids, they can’t sit up there. Wine and beer were available and reasonable. Not sure if that is for all shows. Very intimate venue, neat place...it’s non-profit so help them out and see a show.

My husband & I fell in love with Apalachicola when we first visited several years ago. We now make it a destination for us at least twice a year & we always walk the Scipio Creek Boardwalk on each visit. The boardwalk is located in the Mill Pond area of Apalachicola. Well kept Boardwalk meandering thru lovely wooded areas leading to an elevated platform overlooking the beautiful Creek & Apalachicola River. The built in benches invite you to pause & enjoy the gorgeous view. A don't miss spot for us in Apalachicola that lots of visitors aren't aware of.

Great social distancing practices are being taken for their tap room. You can’t drink beer in the tap room but you can get growlers and crowlers to go. They also provide you with cups so you can enjoy their excellent selection of beer anywhere in the city. Would highly recommend stopping by to grab a excellent beer. Their mango beer was my favorite on the beer list when I stopped by. The brown ale was also a great choice if you like higher gravity beer. Cool stickers too.

This church located close to downtown was brought to the area in two pieces by barge and erected. We went to a brass band concert, part of their series of concerts they present yearly. We saw it listed in the Apalachicola Times and decided to go while we were visiting for the area for Christmas. Inside is original and the simplicity adds to its spirituality. The concert was great as was the reception afterwards. You can sit outside if you are just visiting and read the plaque telling of its historical significance.

Dropped by to get advice about paddling in Apalachicola. Lady at desk stopped what she was doing, got out the maps and told me all about local creeks. Corrected my ignorance and was real nice about it.
She was very knowledgable and helpful.
She made some other recomendations about the area.
    Told me about the river.
    Extremely helpful.
Seemed genuinuely motivated to be sure I had a good trip.
    Great place, great folks
