Like Disneyland head to Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park to collect a Birthday badge for anyone celebrating a birthday while there. We had a fantastic time here, recommend eating at Pym's Test Kitchen for something different. Also we came across Redwood Creek Challenge Trail which we hadn't noticed before, my son had a fantastic time playing in there and it was a welcoming very quiet break from the noise of the park. Just note kids 12 and under can do the flying fox in there, but he turned 13 while on our trip so he then couldn't do that part anymore it still didn't stop him doing the rest. Favourite rides were Monsters Inc., Toy Story Mania and Web Slingers. Cannot wait to come back again.

We missed this place and were sad when our time had finished. Firstly head to City Hall on Main Street if someone has a birthday in the group to pick up a birthday badge for them and badge for the members in the group, to get the celebrations started.
We love coming here every couple of years to experience the magic and see what's new. Last time we came we saw Galaxy's Edge starting to get built so we were super excited to actually go in there this trip, ALOT of time was spent there, smugglers run was my sons favourite ride, it was even better when we realised there was a single rider line. He loved being able to build his own droid too for the whole package it cost around $180 usd, we took it on as carryon on the plane home as we didn't want to get it damaged.
Our first day in the parks was the first day of Celebrate 100 years of Disney (not planned), did I risk it not getting Genie + for it? Yes, but as we did a 5 day park hopper we didn't miss anything we still got to ride everything the longest wait was 40 minutes. Is Disneyland worth it.....YEEEEESSSSSSS and we cannot wait to go back.

We visited downtown on the day before going into the parks. Which worked out great because I don’t think is would had the energy to shop on the Disney days.

Having said that be aware not everything sold in the parks is in World of Disney. We saw loads of stuff extra in the parks.

There are a few restaurants and other shops. This area is in no way on the scale of Disney world equivalent.

Band playing was a nice touch and created atmosphere. Area was beautiful in places, especially at night when lit up.

Beignets ( hollow donuts) sold in Downtown are awful, don’t waste your money.

Everyone at the park from the gate attendants to the ushers was friendly and helpful. Tickets reasonable. Digital tickets worked out well. Bought preferred parking, but wasn't necessary because of low attendance. Good view of field from every seat. Disappointed because Trout did not play. But Ohtani scorched two hits, but no home runs.

Really nice place to go with tons of choices upstairs and downstairs. VERY BUSY on Saturdays, would probably go as a couple and get something small. Also half parking lot is $7 valet, other half is free. If in a hotel nearby, might be worth the Uber/Lyft/Taxi.

Went to a Ducks game and had reasonably priced tickets in the upper bowl. Security and staff were friendly and helpful in locating our seats. Had to pay for parking, but it was easy in and easy out --- great traffic flow after the game. Worth a visit if you enjoy hockey!

    Top tip!
Do single rider line, first time we were on the ride in 10 mins second time 20 mins. This was when the average wait in the standby queue was 60-120 minutes. I got to ride with my husband on both rides, it’s pot luck but worked out for us.

Definitely worth doing the ride, it’s fun and fast.

Glad to find this ride was still in the park, great ride for all to enjoy. Have the breeze, scents and the odd golf face aimed at you. Definitely one of the best!

This is a super fun rollercoaster. My only reason complaint is that the speakers behind your head are turned up so loud that it gave me a terrible headache.

Such a fun ride! This one never gets old - it's exciting, fast, jerky, intense and fun! I only got to ride it once this trip but it was entertaining to see how our grandkids reacted. They don't know the movie and still loved it! The Lightning Lane was great - we bypassed a very long line and got right on. Genie+ is worth the money!

Highly recommend you order the Dessert experience! Before the show, they direct you to a waiting area, where they assign you a seat - everyone was selecting tables - and the gentlemen talked us in to reserving the higher director chair seats - they were worth it! We were centered and while towards the back, we had an unobstructed view of the World of Color - it was breathtaking! When they seat you, they bring a plate with fruit, cheese, cookies, sweet muffin, crackers, which could easily be shared with several people, but the plate is per person...they were giving to-go boxes for all that was left over. They offered drinks of sodas, champagne, beer, coffee, teas, juices, waters, etc. Staff were so joyful and attentive - we felt like we had the best seats in the house.

Well worth the experience. Let’s face it, lines are long for rides and food and it’s hot, so this is a great way to get out of the sun and into a room with ac and comfy chairs. I went to the course that was teaching how to draw Stitch as Stitch is my favorite Disney character. The instructor made the 15 minute course fun and I was surprised how well I drew Stitch even though I have absolutely no drawing skills at all. And it’s free, so you get to keep and take home your masterpiece if you like. If you’re looking to do something different while at Disney California Adventure, check out the Animation Academy. They do have a schedule on when certain character courses will be taught and at what time.

This ride is a great ride for the littler kids. My oldest is 7 and going to be 8 soon. All three of my kids loved this ride. It's not scary at all, and interactive with scores posted, so the kids can compete a little bit, and keep it all in fun. We ended up going on it twice because they loved it so much.
