- SamWashington DC, DC11,835 contributionsBeautiful sculpture garden with a fountain, part of the National Gallery of Art. - Sara NOlathe, KS4 contributionsInteresting and thought provoking. Perfect for date night. I enjoyed the neighborhood and stepping out from the exhibit right at sunset was delightful and slightly intoxicating. Speaking of intoxication, they sell alcohol, and kids smelling of herbal intoxicants were present, but everyone was having a fun, chill time. Some families with small kids seemed overwhelmed, but teenagers seemed happy.
In all, a fun night for me, a sober adult. Would do again, but would not recommend to everyone without a seizure warning.Written February 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were lucky-under other circumstances we would have missed this smaller, lovely museum. There was a wonderful special exhibit "Amazonagramas" by Roberto Huarcaya on the first floor and several permanent collections by 20th century artists on the upper level. We were able to leisurely and thoroughly enjoy the artists and architecture.Written February 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KCMLiveWashington DC, DC322 contributionsThe Anacostia Arts Center is a community friendly with a blackbox theater, cafe, and meeting space. I recently visited for a playwright's musical showcase, and was impressed with the beautiful artwork by local artists and bright airy spaces. The shops have awesome local products, books, clothing and jewelry, and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is available, but be sure to arrive in plenty of time to drive around to find a space. If you are planning a local arts event I would definitely recommend checking out the Anacostia Arts Center.Written January 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rosetravels39Washington DC, DC66 contributionsZenith Gallery, is a must stop, when you are looking for one great location with very special artists and their unique and inspiring works. All three floors (including the front and back yard showrooms) offer a variety of art forms that will challenge and charm your imagination. (one of my favorite artists is Sabiyha Prince ... however ... after visiting this gallery, I have since found quite a few more.) It will be a great experience, ENJOY!Written April 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- misopiso88Seattle, WA27,582 contributionsMy daughter and I stumbled upon the Swann Street Gallery walking around the neighborhood. it was open so we popped in and looked around. Marcy Logan, Director of the gallery, has done an amazing job showcasing the works of Robert Kuhn throughout the work/live/gallery area. I loved seeing the art assembled in such an intimate environment. It is open most Saturday and Sunday afternoons but I would call ahead if you are interested. Highly recommend!Written June 29, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Catie W2 contributionsThis is quite the find! After leaving the Philips Collection we wandered down a back alley following a big blue sign pointing towards Hillyer Art Space. On arrival the staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They told us about Hillyer and how they support under discovered contemporary artists. The show was great and the space is fantastic. We will be back for a First Friday event!
