It was a wonderful exhibit and the grandchildren loved doing the scavenger hunt that was offered. The museum was beautifully layed out the exhibits were well defined and explained. I am so happy we went. I don't know how long this particular exhibit will be there but I would check to see what was there when you visit DC. - ChinapjsWashington DC, DC3,611 contributionsKind of hidden on 16th street but really worth a visit. And it's free. Mansion built in 1910 for the U.S. Treasury Secretary. It was long tome Mexican Embassy. Murals done by famous Mexican muralist Roberto Cueva in 1933. Various temporary exhibits that change regularly. Concerts occasionally. Now houses the Cultural section of the Mexican embassy. - YolotlPrior Lake, MN53 contributionsMy brother is a recent aerospace engineer grad so we stopped by the building to see the displays and visit the gift shop for some cool souvenirs. Then someone let us know about the library on the east side of the building. We went and the staff was so friendly and enthusiastic! They gave us a short tour and then had tons of FREE books, stickers, posters, notebooks, etc and told us to help ourselves. My kids LOVED the things I brought back for them. - Pam K1 contributionI had a stroke and could not walk. Because of the inability to walk my legs became very swollen. Also, my right hand was partially unable to be used. I saw Victoria Goldsten at the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine for lymphatic drainage massage, for my swelling and to do range of motion for my right hand. My swelling improved and was able use my right hand more effectively. Victoria's therapy was very helpful.
Previous to my stroke I had a problem with fibroids. My doctor told me I had to have a hysterectomy. I called Victoria and asked her if she could help. She said she could. She saw me for a natural health care exam and recommended homeopathic remedies. The remedies shrunk my fibroids and never had to have the hysterectomy.
Victoria is a nurse/massage therapist that is certified as a complementary and alternative medicine nurse and also has an advanced degree in homeopathy.
