Nightly Spirits
#5 of 146 Nightlife in Washington DC
It was less of a ghosty tour, but we went to some *very* cool bars (many fancier than I'd go into normally) The history between drinks was good, and the tour guide was just delightful with her energy snd knowledge.
I went with a group of friends and we all loved learning more about the history of DC, exploring new bars with interesting origins, and walking through haunted spaces.

Madam's Organ Blues Bar
#9 of 146 Nightlife in Washington DC
I've been to quite a few bars and neighborhoods in DC and this place blows away every other bar I've been to in that entire city (in my humble opinion).
Friendly bar staff, friendly patrons and great neighborhood to feel safe in.

Great selection of local beers and a full bar, you can enjoy an afternoon or evening with friends playing silly board games from your childhood, or turn those games into drinking games.

The Next Whisky Bar
#17 of 146 Nightlife in Washington DC
I can only hope that the rest of the bartenders and mixologists that I encounter in my travels will be have as suave and professional as Adnan was with me during my visit to The Next Whisky Bar.
Classy setting, service was excellent they seemed more than happy to have our teenage son in the bar.
Capital Laughs
#18 of 146 Nightlife in Washington DC
Sometimes comedy clubs can be very thematic or anchored on a particular style of comedy, which can get old or get you hooked by only a couple entertainers.
We Found this show for less than $20, it was a great time for the price and the bar has a decent selection of beer on tap too.
Morris American Bar
#19 of 146 Nightlife in Washington DC
They pay attention to the small details, from providing flavored water with your order, ensuring the bar area is clean, to sending you off with a postcard with the bar's namesake - lots of cool touches!
We stopped in on a Friday evening and were immediately seated in this comfy little area, right in front of the bar, but surrounded by curtains, to separate it from the rest of the bar area.
