This was the first stop on my Ivy City distillery crawl. I had a cocktail with peach cardamom and bourbon. Of all the distilleries, their cocktail came in first place. They also had a caterer on site serving hot food in case you needed a snack.

My partner and I had our engagement celebration with about 30 - 35 people at Captiol Cider House. Jared and his team were incredibly flexible with our budget, open to what we wanted for the event AND took amazing care of us and our guests on the day.
I cannot recommend visiting them or asking about how you can have your event there enough. Amazing team. Amazing food. REALLY amazing drinks!

Took the Arlington tour 1/10 with Liam. Only three on the tour, but not a trace of disappointment from our tour guide. Very professional and personable tour. Liam was a gold mine of information. He answered all our questions, sometimes three or four deep, and then would add a pertinent piece of history at the end. Highly recommend the tour and especially off-season, mid-week. Our best bang for the buck on our stay.

Ok folks I have a sleeper for you.
Took my daughter to see, "The Magic Duel" tonight as part of her Christmas gifts. This was absoluetly the BEST show per cost I've attended in the last 5 years or so. Absolutely blown away by Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips comedic genius combined with their underhanded, overhanded, slight of hand magic stylings. These two could stand alone on their one liners, jokes, and snippity, snarkey humor however the magic you witness has a separate if not even stronger punch of its own. Yes, the audience was repeatedly floored and no participants suffered in any way at all.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE THIS FOR YOURSELF!!
Located in the basement of the picturesque Mayflower Hotel, Washington DC.

Don't say I never hooked you up..................

What a fun experience! Our incredibly friendly and knowledgable guide took us through the history of the U Street area with delightful and delicious food stops along the way. A truly unique way to learn about and taste the area. Strongly recommended for visitors and locals alike--just make sure you arrive hungry!

I cannot rate this highly enough!!! Captain Kirk (no relation to Star Trek) was fantastic. She told us amazing stories and brought us to a bunch of great bars in old town Alexandria. A MUST for anyone visiting the area, especially if you love ghosts, drinking, or both!

I reserved a table for my wife and two friends. The place is little enough to appreciate the live music but sufficienttly large to stay confortable having our dinner during the show.
The service is very efficient and the food as well as the vine are good.
The atmosphere is top, even for those which are not really bleus music passionate.
    Very recommended

This place is so cute and their mission is great! They are trying to get these cats adopted to good homes so the cats I got to play with may not be the ones you see but that's a good thing because it means they got adopted to a good home!

Pro tip: buy treats! ( And bring cash).

A bag of treats costs a dollar and they totally know the sound of that treat bag and suddenly every cat will be your best friend. Even--especially-- the ones that were ignoring you five seconds ago. Also, break your treats in half so you can spread the love more and they won't get too overfed.

    JONAH was AMAZING - AH!

This was a wonderful tour and we were happy that it was small and intimate. Jonah was very patient with us and generous with his time and knowledge, we are glad that he is a part of your team. The evening Tidal Basin tour is a secret weapon for sure, such special places that I always wanted to explore, but never got to because of all of the big hitters that are more popular. Cherry blossoms or not, this tour was great.

While visiting Washington, we wanted to get out of the downtown area for something different. Had truly good burgers and fries here, along with a great beer list. Not fancy, just feels like a fun pub. Awesome pickles! No kids' menu, but 8yo liked her burger very much (and 15yo old finished it for her.) Georgetown is strangely quiet by 9 pm so suggest going here much earlier to have full city vibe.

Long time restaurant in DC. I was in the mood for some Irish ambience and food so on this visit to DC I decided to go to the The Dubliner. Service and food were great.

This experience was wonderful. The cocktails are unique and delicious. The decor in the Library gives Columbia Room a speakeasy vibe, even though it is one of the most popular cocktail bars in D.C. Someone can definitely find privacy in the Library depending on which seat they choose. I sat in the high back chair right in front of the mixologist. Watching the process of cocktail making is an experience in itself. The lineup of bitters will make your head spin and the old fashioned choices might be challenging, but go out on a limb and try a cocktail with a spirit you may not have planned on drinking. It will be worth the risk. Walter was a wonderfully professional server and took the time to answer any questions I had without getting bogged down in conversation. The staff definitely wants you to enjoy your experience with whoever you are with. An intimate setting that is great for a date or for a small group of friends.

I attended the Bombay Bicycle Club concert at the 9:30 Club in October. It was my first time being at the venue, but I thought it was on par with what I'm used to in Philly. We parked in a garage near the venue (not sure if there are better options) and didn't buy any drinks. The sound, which can be hit or miss at venues, was good.

This place is definitely special. It's got a great vibe and I love the live music. Beyond that it's unique - but is that enough?

The menu sounded phenomenal. it was okay. The service was good, the atmosphere was fun, the prices were reasonable - I have no real complaints about our experience here but would I go back? probably not. I can say that I've been there, drank there, ate there - and I think that's enough!
