- Mark951Riverside, CA211 contributionsWe discovered this park on a recent trip to Tacoma. It has many things to see such as a zoo and an aquarium, Lots of places to park and walk along the water and enjoy the great views such as Owen Beach. The park has many signs making it easy to visit. - elfiChicago, IL3 contributionsWe took a walk around cascade lake - 2.7 miles mostly flat ok for kids and seniors but may be challenging in a few places if you have any knee or walking issues. Took an hour and was the highlight of the park it was so cloudy that we didn’t drive up to the point but had a nice lunch at Rosario resort- a little chilly at first but warmed up and took of layers as I walkedWritten September 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ludek SSibrina Czech republic833 contributionsWe spent in this campground two nights . Our campsite was great with nice view to the ocean. At low tide we were at Tongue Point. There are stairs to the shore. Toilets and coin operated shower with hot water was clean. Watch out for the racoon.
Really nice campground.Written August 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I would have liked to have walked around, but it was a bit too cold. When I make my way up here again, I will definitely stop and get out on foot. - LSUTravellerDenham Springs, LA1,761 contributionsSimply a gorgeous falls - and the hike up to the lake is also quite impressive. Easy access off the road - either from the Glimpse of Stehekin Tour or by bike rental. Water just explodes off the rocks.Written July 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff BSeattle, WA917 contributionsSecond visit; the last time was in 2018. Still excellent - worth a detour.
Beautiful 360 degree view of the Palouse from the summit on a clear day. We arrived on an August Sunday at noon, and the summit was deserted other than a departing bicyclist. During our 60 minute picnic stay three more cars arrived.
We had a WA State Parks Pass so did not need to pay the single-time fee. (There is a machine at the summit parking lot that accepts payment.)
NOTE: go to the very top for the best views. You'll know you are there when (1) there are no more ascending lanes and (2) there is a vault toilet.
There is a small picnic area at the base of the butte with picnic tables set among apple trees, with a vault toilet.
No running water, but the vault toilets were clean and had hand sanitizer.Written September 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Angela B1 contributionWatch out for the rocks at the beach covered in moss and seaweed! 3 of 5 of my group that walked across them fell and were badly hurt. The rocks are obviously slick and under the soft moss are barnacles that shred your skin. Other than that it’s a beautiful drive there and a nice little walk down to the beach!Written July 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark DHouston, TX424 contributionsThe falls are fantastic! I didn't do any of the trails but I did get plenty of pictures of the falls. The road going to the falls is dirt and with google maps, I had no issue getting there. You do have to pay to see the falls but its only 5 or 10 bucks. It was nice to see things on the way there and I really enjoyed the trip.Written October 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
