- MyReview4UhelloSaugerties, NY4 contributionsI have never seen such well-cared for, content horses at a trail-riding facility before. There is nothing like riding a horse who is happy with their life and job. My horse was gentle, kind, and responsive. I had a Jr Wrangler named Alexis (?) who was beyond fantastic. These people really care about their horses and about giving you having the best experience possible.
This is no cowboy-up ranch. Hands down, this was my best trail ride ever. Amazing what a difference it makes when the horse is happy and actually loves its people. If you ever get the chance, don’t pass this up. First-time riders and those who have ridden for years will both have a wonderful, beautiful experience.
I’ve never before been to a ranch who truly loved their horses. If you get the chance, don’t miss seeing how beautiful being horseback should be. You’ll never be better taken care of than you will by a horse who loves their life and the folks who care for them.

We took 2 rides and both days were super fabulous with a different route to explore. Everyone at the farm are super friendly and helpful and really care about the horses which is amazing to see. Even if you are new to horse ridding it's fantastic, the horses are super calm and smooth and friendly. They kinda know already what to do so you need to just relax and enjoy the experience. Definitely recommend the fall season, spectacular colours on the ride!Written October 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - melissa cArlington, VA42 contributionsSooo much fun--just back from a dude ranch in Texas--this was waaaaay better! Owner was incredibly flexible to coordinate a last minute ride on a Saturday. Accepts Venmo, great job preparing riders with little safety class. Incredible scenery. Loved it!Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeAnn FMilford, KS4 contributionsI grew up on a ranch and had a horse when I was little. I haven't ridden since then, but they made me feel comfortable and ensured that the horse I had was perfect for me. Valley was the name of the horse, and she was just perfect for me. She may have been having a slow Saturday morning, but it was perfect for me since I was a bit nervous about riding after so long. The guide was perfect, and she would wait for us when needed. I would come back and ride again if I return to Vermont for a visit. The views were great also.Written July 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Christine C1 contributionI had a great time riding the pony in the woods! The pony Lou was beautiful and easy to ride on even though I had little experience with horses. My guide Amber was so kind, patient, and helpful. She gave me clear instructions and made the ride safe and pleasant the whole time. It’s phenomenal to ride on a cute horse in the picturesque scenery of Vermont. Definitely recommend it!Written September 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Karen T4 contributionsA wonderful way to spend a day. My grandson and I went on a trail ride. He rode a pony and was led but felt as if he was really riding. He was so excited. The land and trails are beautiful and the people who lead our ride were knowledgeable and very friendly. I would totally recommend taking a trail ride with Breakaway Farm.Written May 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andres72423Bridgeport, CT4,925 contributionsHad an excellent horse and carriage ride through the country side. It was a bit cold but the blankets helped to warm us up. Nice ride and Chip served as a great guide as well. Fun time! Great family fun, make sure you bring hats, gloves and scarves if you take the ride in December, it can get cold but it is a lot of fun. They also offer sleigh rides but unfortunately there was no snow on the day we went. We definitely enjoyed it and would go back to try the sleigh.Written December 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
