- becleblancsyracuse, ny5 contributionsMy sister and I went horseback riding at Lahoie in Oct 2021. My horse was a gentleman. The horses seemed well cared for. The experience was my favorite activity during the week. We saw a family of turkey and several deer. Our guide was friendly and patient. The view at the summit was spectacular!Written October 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan BDresher, PA134 contributionsWe have visited VIHF before and we’re thrilled to be back. While waiting for our ride we watched the horses, dog, cats and roosters who live there. My husband had bonded with his horse and was so happy to be able to ride Leftry again. I rode Freddie and he was great. We chose the one hour trail ride but there are other optionsWritten July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - coastalmomma_10evanston, Illinois16 contributionsThe owner, Debby, made this ride happen even though our schedules didn't initially jive. How very lucky she was able to make it happen as the ride was just what two novices wanted! The horses were gentle, the leaves gorgeous, and day could not have been betterWritten October 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ShipokemomWormleysburg, PA59 contributionsYou must visit and schedule a trail ride!! My family had a wonderful experience with Chipman Stables. I am an experienced rider but my husband and teen daughters have not ridden. Lacey was a great guide and loved the trail, horses and the views. Will definitely visit again on our next visit to the area. Thanks for a great ride!Written August 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heidi B1 contributionFantastic experience for my 6 and 8 year old granddaughters. The guides had a high level of confidence and gave instructions to the girls that put them at ease. It was their first time riding a full size horse and not a pony. Beautiful pastures, woods, and crossed rivers. It was a memory that will last a lifetime.Written June 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Karen T3 contributionsA wonderful way to spend a day. My grandson and I went on a trail ride. He rode a pony and was led but felt as if he was really riding. He was so excited. The land and trails are beautiful and the people who lead our ride were knowledgeable and very friendly. I would totally recommend taking a trail ride with Breakaway Farm.Written May 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andres72423Bridgeport, CT2,818 contributionsHad an excellent horse and carriage ride through the country side. It was a bit cold but the blankets helped to warm us up. Nice ride and Chip served as a great guide as well. Fun time! Great family fun, make sure you bring hats, gloves and scarves if you take the ride in December, it can get cold but it is a lot of fun. They also offer sleigh rides but unfortunately there was no snow on the day we went. We definitely enjoyed it and would go back to try the sleigh.Written December 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
