- Ramser221 contributionsWe visited the weekend before Christmas 2022 and tasted with Ben on Thursday night,Paul on Friday and Gage on Saturday. We came back in January 2023 to get our Sugarlands Shine Club special and tasted with Paul again. Always enjoy the tasting and atmosphere at Sugarlands. I guess that's what keeps us coming back. We only live about 2 hours away in the Great state of Tennessee! Sips Up!Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JSJNYNY101 contributionsThis is the longest-running tradition in country music. The acts are varied. We saw one debut and one performer's 5000+ appearance. The music was all superb. The crowd was great.
After the show, call an Uber--the taxis overcharge. Also, expect a traffic jam as everyone leaves simultaneously.Written December 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They took our pictures which is optional to buy in a key ring or photograph etc the we were taken to the house first around the back and sat in a waiting room until all the group was together. We all walked with headsets which tell you history about Elvis etc first tour starts through his front door and into the hall way with the staircase, peacock room to the right and through the dinning room to the left. Then onto the kitchen etc after seeing all the rooms taking a 1000 pictures we went out side walking around looking at the presley family history museum then giving our respects at rhe meditation garden. We boarded a bus up to the other museums and shops which there are plenty , so far we have been around for about 5 hours doing all this then we crossed over to see the aeroplanes. It was a full day I will never forget, well worth the money .Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - havanadaydreamerKnoxville, TN88 contributionsWhen he was 18 years old, Elvis walked into this place and music was changed forever. Very informative. I learned a lot about Sam Phillips and Elvis. The recording studio was the highlight: the spot where Elvis stood and the microphone he sang into. Gave me chills.Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- stimpsonjcat67Dawsonville, GA32 contributionsThis is another small half-circle auditorium where there isn't a bad seat in the house.
We saw Red, Mammoth, and Alter Bridge here the other night.
They could maybe work on the merch queueing, but everything else from bathrooms to bar to entry/egress was flawless.
The seats are hardwood Benches!

My favorite part was the overview TV recap on the first floor--well worth the 15-20 minutes to watch it, especially for those of us who grew up in the 50s-70s. Such an enjoyable walk back in time. Highly recommended.Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KokoA91Washington DC, District of Columbia8 contributionsThis trip was at the behest of my special needs (adult) brother. My sister and I accommodate his requests as much as possible and thought we would have to "suffer" through this particular request. We were pleasantly surprised and had a great time! Be careful! Their bakery offerings will add 20lbs on you because everything is so tempting!Written January 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matt MMount Juliet, TN1 contributionGreat historical horse plantation. if you enjoy history, specifically southern history, this is a great half day visit. Guided tour of the house takes around 45 minutes. Complimentary wine tasting after. You are then free to walk the extensive grounds including a carriage house, mausoleum, diary, old slave quarters and more. Tour guides you through the good of the past but doesn't shy away from the bad (slavery) Lots of horse racing/breeding history.Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy F1 contributioninteractive. Self directed. Educational. Upon entry you are given a card with a brief bio of a passenger and at the end of the tour you discover their fate.Written January 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - havanadaydreamerKnoxville, TN88 contributionsWith the exception of the MLK rooms, the motel has been gutted and replaced with civil rights movement memorabilia. The amount of information and reading is a bit overwhelming. It would take you DAYS to read everything, but you definitely get the message. The MLK motel room and balcony, and sniper nest across the street, is sad to see.Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ramser221 contributionsWe done a getaway weekend after all the Christmas rush. We visited the island on Friday and Saturday in January 2023. We usually stay at the Clarion Inn that is within walking distance to the island. We tasted at ole smoky with Terry on Friday and Caitlin on Saturday. We always meet people from other states that come to Tennessee for the Moonshine and the mountains. Thanks to all our service people active and retired we meet along the way. They are the reason we can enjoy our freedoms.
We also got to walk on the Greenway they had lit up for Christmas. It goes from outside the island to the old forge mill. This is first year 2022-2023 they have done it. Lights stay up until end of February and I sure hope they do it again for Christmas 2023.Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Took my 4 year old granddaughter, she loved it and still talks about Joe the penguin, months later. And everyone loved feeding the stingrays. And she even got a stingray tooth from one of the divers ❤️. Up close look at all the exhibits. The staff are all very friendly. I highly recommend it.Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- VanEsq12Dallas, TX2,367 contributionsIf I could, I would give this attraction ten stars!! I. LOVED. IT!!! Talk about a hidden gem! This is an absolutely beautiful parrot sanctuary. You have never sern so many different varieties and colors of parrots as you will see here. Built on the side of a mountain, some of the walkways can be steep, especially for strollers or wheelchairs. But the birds are worth it! Restaurant and gift shop on site.Written February 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Matt PGainesville, VA1,373 contributionsThere are a lot of shops to browse many different things. If you get hungry, they are plenty of dining options. The water show was pretty cool to watch. Parking can be a challenge.Written February 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
