What a pretty place, but I recommend going as early as you can. The grounds are very well maintained. It was fun seeing the alligators sun-bathing. The carpenter was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of the plantation. The lady giving the beyond the fields talk was also very nice and informative. The farm animals were fun to watch, especially the sheep roaming freely. We had packed a lunch and ate at the picnic tables under the trees. Such a wonderful experience

Broadway at the Beach is filled with everything you need for entertaining family fun! There are numerous restaurants, snack foods, shops, and loads of entertainment including - thrilling Carnival Rides, a large Ferris Wheel, Mirror Maze, Wonderworks, exciting Lagoon Boat Ride, a Zipline, a Ropes Course, a Lagoon filled with fish to feed, and propably a few things that we missed! We spent hours here, and quite a bit of money too! LOL! This place was super fun, and we can't wait to return!!

We rented 3 E bikes today from Mike at HHI rental and road the well kept and marked bike/walking trails on HHI pretty much all day. We also road on the great beach on the Eastern shoreline. It cost about $40 each for 24 hours. Let's just say we'd do it again in a minute if our butts weren't so sore.

The Pineapple fountain is just beautiful along with the colorful flowers all around. Nice breeze as it is right on the water with a lovely view of ships including cruise ships coming and going.

This was a beautiful area, so impressive it’s right in the middle of downtown. Walking on the trail, over the bridge and near the water was so nice! Definitely a must-do!

Our second time there and we became season pass holders this time ! What an absolute blast! Extremely clean, organized & professional zoo. I got the chance to talk to a zoo keeper there, Mariah & she was so friendly, knowledgeable & caring towards us newbies when It comes to the zoo crew life. We are so excited to go back !

Heard about Cherry Grove Pointe on YouTube! We went there and found it to be one of our favorite places that we'll visit again when we go to Myrtle Beach. Not very many people on the beach but heard from a local the place is packed during tourist seasons. Hidden Gem! Spent all day here. There are porta potties near the parking lot.

A fair amount of parks around Lake Murray. Most cost $5 to park. It can take you more than two hours to get around the entire lake. We had a great day driving around it and checking out the areas.

We spent three wonderful nights and 3 1/2 days in the Holy city! I guess you could say we ate our way through as well. We checked into the Fulton Lane Inn. This is a charming old boutique hotel that we recommend. You won’t get everything you want but almost! Waiting for our friends we grabbed a quick bite at port of a call food and beer hall. We recommend it!
Then on to Husk for a legacy dinner that night. Husk has a great reputation but there are better choices. We found that the cornbread there was out of this world! Saturday we had a great walking tour of Charleston and took lunch at Amen Fish House & Raw Bar. It’s another one we would recommend. The food highlight of the weekend was the brasserie La Banque.
This restaurant has only been around about six months but the service was impeccable and our entrées and appetizers were delicious. We rounded out our weekend by going to church at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Mount Pleasant and then visited the Boone farm plantation—a must see!

Lake Jocasee is like mini lake Tahoe out in Upstate South Carolina. The water quality here is super clear, and many parts of the lake glow with a blue tint. It's gorgeous. There are lots of waterfalls that you'll need a boat to see, but there are also some great spots to land your boat on an island in the lake and just hang out. We went in October, and while air temps were starting to starting to drop to the high 60's, the water was still pretty warm, and comfortable for swimming in.

The beach was very nice. The town is mostly for families with shops, restaurants and entertainment. It's best if you stay within walking distance of the area since parking can be scarce and expensive.

The foliage in this beautiful state park is amazing. We walked out onto the dock and saw a fisherman catch a stingray! We saw an alligator in the pond by the Visitor's Center, strolled onto the beach and captured a picture of the lighthouse.

Really enjoyed this attraction. The carrier had 4 self guided tours that were easy to follow. There was a small attraction inside the Vietnam era section that got the wife's heart pumping really fast. This was one of our favorite things that we visited on our trip to Charleston.
