A gorgeous park situated in a quaint inner city local with mother nature’s best; river, streams, waterfalls, mountains, wildlife, unique architecture, cantilevered suspension bridge within a short walk of Main St.
... music, shows to take in and great shops to enjoy but mostly I absolutely love the gorgeous Falls Park and being able to take in the meticulously maintained gardens and walking trails along the waters edge.

[ FINAL THOUGHTS ] Across the main road (Hwy 28) from Issaqueena is Yellow Branch Recreation Area which features yet another gorgeous waterfall via a 1.5 mile (one way) hiking trail.
The climb down, and back up, requires a reasonable level of fitness and is probably too much for younger children without lots of help from the adults.
There is a trail along the stream at the top away from the falls where you can see some snakes, some hornet nests, so be careful.
It's an easy walk to the observation deck and easy access if you want to go out onto the rocks.

Station Cove Falls Mountain Rest
You can leave your car in the larger paved parking lot at the park and walk the path to the trail from there, or, depending on space available, park in the informal dirt pull-off at the trailhead.
mile hike, or you can access it from Oconee State Park from Hwy 107, but that hike is much longer and takes hours, but if you are into hiking for the day, go for it.
King Creek Falls Mountain Rest
King Creek runs thru a ravine along side the trail providing you with natures music to accompany your hike.
We had a Waterfalls of the South Carolina Upcountry brochure which provides descriptions of and directions to 31 waterfalls.
