The guided tour and flight demonstration were excellent, thanks to the very passionate and enthusiastic volunteers....and birds of prey of course!
In addition to the raptor flight demos and tour of the expansive facilities, you could spend an hour just marveling at the 14 or so species of owls in the Owlwood sanctuary.
A gorgeous park situated in a quaint inner city local with mother nature’s best; river, streams, waterfalls, mountains, wildlife, unique architecture, cantilevered suspension bridge within a short walk of Main St.

Fabulous park! Three different playgrounds, musical instruments, kid friendly zip line, swings, and trail around a lake.
... and I was so impressed!! Wow!! :) There are bathroom facilities open (we were there on a week day), wifi, and free parking!! What more could a parent ask for...well, an absolutely amazing park for all ages!!
Basically a couple of thousand of acres of pristine nature right in downtown (well, short walk and even shorter drive from downtown.)
Wonderful place to take a relaxing hike (or horseback ride if you have access).

The flowers were beautiful and the wonderful swings and benches around the gardens were so nice to sit and enjoy the scenery and beauty.

if your a bird watcher the bird walk is excellent - I enjoyed it tremendously and the walk leader was amazing

The wooden bridges, the grounds, Spanish moss hanging in the trees over the water, the white and black swans all created a very serene, peaceful, walk.

The park has a covered picnic area, that's available for reserving for parties, and they also have a public bathroom, as well as a restaurant attached to the park for anyone who needs an energy boost while here.

This is a wonderful park with some picnic tables, a welcome center and a fantastic overview There are also many hikes nearby which you can find out more information in the welcome center.
From there, if you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you can take the Dismal Loop in reverse - To the suspension bridge, which is very doable and provides some incredible views.
