Anyone who was stationed at the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, as well as sight-seeing visitors, will enjoy the aircraft displays and memorials dedicated to veterans.
The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum is very informative for some one who is unfamiliar with contributions made from the Revolution War to the Confederate war to current day.
Such amazing artifacts; especially the battle flags that have been through hell and back and now live on in a great museum for Civil War and American history buffs.
As you would expect, you will see the rifles, machine guns, field artillery, armored vehicles, uniforms covering the years of American History from the Revolutionary War to the present.
This museum is a gem.No matter what state you are from ,the pride and appreciation for our military is demonstrated in this museum.I saw all age groups while I visited. This should be on a travelers to do list
The history of the Marine Corps, as well as its role in conflicts dating back to the civil war, complete with displays showing uniforms and weaponry, are on display.
Excellent museum for regional history of Parris Island dating back hundreds of years and Marine history on PI and around the world.
There's educational and fun stuff here for adults and children, as well as a very nice gift shop that included books by several local authors.
The Anderson County Museum is all about the local history of The Electric City and sorrounding area!
You will learn a great deal and you will be even more proud of our US Army and their accomplishments upon completion of your self guided tour.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour guided by four soldiers who were one week from graduating.
