We were on a little get away together we already ate at the western door before so we wanted to try something new and tried to get into the Italian restaurant that a few people told us about. They told us our wait was 3 hrs due to no reservation and the host was rude. They said they were full to capacity but there was maybe 4 tables seated. We left to try to find somewhere else and ended up calling back 10 min later to take the 730p reservation and the same host said well now its 9pm, in 10 min we went another 1.5 hr further .. either way the host and the snippy attitude was the most irritating part. - michelle w22 contributionsI stayed at Seneca Allegany on April 20 through the 22nd on the newly renovated 8th floor. Visually pleasing, with clean lines and a lot of soft surfaces. Tons of plugs for the whole family's technology, too. The bathroom was not renovated. Now, the issue I immediately noticed was the removal of the large, heavy furniture translated to no sound proofing at all from the nearby rooms. There were kids in the next room, listening to hardcore X-rated rap for hours. I could clearly hear conversations in other rooms and never dealt with that before.
The buffet has reopened for Thursday through Sunday dinners. There is no longer any discount for having a casino card, so it is $29 plus tax. For this, the food selection has really downgraded. No caesar salad. Lots of filler on the salad bar. Lots of vegetables. There was a taco bar but the meat looked dried out 30 minutes after opening. I will not return unless there is some sort of deal for the buffet.
I could smell marijuana all over the hotel and while it was 4/20, that is not cool. Lots of children in the pool and during adult swim time.
I like the renovations visually, but the C-shaped mini sofa is a waste of space and is piled with too many pillows.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - omar47Jacksonville, FL267 contributionsWhether you are a dedicated horse player/gambler or with family and friends for a picnic this is an ideal location....Belmont Park is one of the oldest thoroughbred tracks in the country......aging but still beautiful.......as you enter one of the entrances you will find a huge parking lot which is free..or if you want to park just steps away from the gate as I do it will only cost you $3.....entrance fee is just $5 and your coolers will be checked as glass containers are forbidden.....beer, water and sodas must be in aluminum or plastic .........there are picnic tables everywhere with television and larger screens throughout as are betting Windows .....there are food and beer stands both inside and outside......If you like to watch live racing as do I there is plenty of seating in both the grandstand or the clubhouse for a small extra fee........lately the 3rd floor is often closed so you may only have 2 levels to,view the live action......in my opinion the inside areas are in need of some renovation especially the bathrooms.........all in all it is an inexpensive way to spend a nice afternoon as you can bring your own food and beverages.....if you like to wager on the races there is always the possibility of it being more expensive ..lol.......have fun..I always do win or loseWritten June 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband and I went for a three day stay and enjoyed all. Ate at the casino each night. For a quick get away highly recommend. Staff friendly. Fun time. I have friends who have stayed there at the hotel.
