This place is awesome!!! Guides were very professional and knowledgeable about the history of the land ..great for kids !! We had a blast and will definitely be returning soon!! 10/10!!!
The views and the thrill are awesome and the staff are all incredibly friendly, warm, and absolutely passionate about KY and it’s natural resources and beauty.
See 2 Experiences
Taylorsville lake was a great location and Mimi made the class fun, non-intimidating, safety oriented and in the end everyone learned to stand up and paddle comfortably.
They were knowledgeable and friendly and safety-conscious and so, so fun!
I've been on this trip multiple times with varying river conditions; it is an excellent adventure for families and older rafters but it might disappoint those seeking a big adventure on challenging rapids.
First float on Cumberland and very first shuttle with you folks... enjoyed the shuttle a lot, great driver easy to talk to and wonderful relaxing conversation... very helpful and informative, but it would help if...
Underground kayaking in an old limestone mine is a must for anyone visiting the Red River Gorge! Noah and Hannah were our guides and they were great...very informative and entertaining.
Kayaking through an abandoned limestone quarry is a quirky combo of 2 adventures in one: caving + kayaking= an easy and enjoyable adventure for both kids and adults.
SUP Kentucky Lexington
Heather was great at taking photos of everyone for each of the activities, so we have our memories of our fun adventure weekend!
If you live in south eastern Kentucky, chances are you have seen Cumberland Falls… A lot… But this stand-up paddle boarding experience gave us a unique and fresh look at this old familiar attraction.
But on the Ohio River you will experience serenity, see some nice homes, trees, boats, yachts, barges, the famous Big Four Bridges, the historical Louisville Water Company.
Lunch was a yummy buffet, the master of ceremonies made it fun, and we would definitely go back for the dinner cruise or simply a daytime ride without the meal.
Is a great compliment to the bourbon trail and I would highly recommend!! Captain was fun, full of history and great to listen to and we Thank him for adding to our vacation.
Four of us took this tour and found it to be a huge highlight of our visit to KY. Alison picked us up at Buffalo Trace and drove us to a dock where we met Captain Nathan who took us on an hour boat ride on the KY...
We really enjoyed the lunch cruise on a lovely day in October. The buffet meal was fantastic. It had homemade quality. The New York Cheesecake for dessert was the greatest.
The guide gave good history information about the Ohio river and its bridges, churches and other building along the Ohio river for Cincinnati and Newport Ky.
We love the Green; and we always use the services of Mammoth Cave Canoe & Kayak because Becky and her staff are absolutely lovely.
Amazing 4 hours on the river-you can paddle into a small cave and then pull over at multiple islands to wade/swim and marvel at the scenery.
Just 20 minutes away from most of Louisville! Blue Moon makes this accessible to all through reasonably priced rentals, friendly and prompt shuttles for those who have our own boats.
First time kayakers, we had a little learning curve going through some of the shallower spots, but quickly learned how to make the most of our trips through rapids.
We had the best guide, Jacob McCowan, who let us stop for two swim breaks and guided us smoothly through the rapids.
Lunch was outstanding and had a nice tour of Buffalo Trace Distillery.
... from a shallow shelf, up to about 8 ft deep, to the shallow diving area about 20- 25 ft deep & to the deeper areas that get 100- 120 ft (a tad chilly down there), that is great for the more experienced divers.
The underwater basketball was fun and the visibility was great for a quarry.
Witty and knowledgeable commentary on the river and the boat from the captain; excellent local Civil War information from the "crew".
It was such a pleasant afternoon ... the scenery of course is beautiful, the ride was relaxing and the guides were great (informative and helpful).
Great family fun take a guided tour down Blue river enjoy the beautiful scenery and cool water a day trip or half day of family fun.Be sure to check the weather before going.
We also had some great conversation with their employees, both exchanging stories and getting some great advice for canoeing on the river.
It was a beautiful ride - we were able to canoe alongside a huge flock of swimming geese!
We were going to take the 2.5 trip but ended up taking the 4 hour trip since it was so AMAZING and beautiful.
A special note of thanks to Mike a long time houseboat owner/resident of the Grider Hill Marina who very unselfishly helped us dock and took care of us getting some supplies at a store away from the marina when th...
In the shop you can find boating items, clothing, and food snacks and groceries.
We liked it so much we ended up buying our own kayaks and we now use their shuttle service so that we don’t have to worry with where to park our vehicle and all that hassle which saves us a lot of trouble so we ca...
Even though I’ve been on this creek many times, having this business to facilitate is an amazing opportunity
Alligator II Marina Russell Springs
HAD Such a good time down at alligator 2 marina and we loved the ride on a house boat this place is fantastic.
Our visitors from Hungary thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon and beach on Lake Cumberland.
After they loaded our kayaks onto the trailer we set out on a 30 minute van ride through the country and into Mammoth Cave National Park.
This is a great way to view more of Mammoth Cave National Park.
Cruising the Ohio River in good weather is fun and informative.
The trip to and from the concert took a little over an hour each way with a short walk to/from the venue ticket gates.
My only regret was finding Kristen's ranch at the end of our vacation week as we would have definitely taken in the kayak trip as well if we'd had more time.
With helmets on and lunch packed, we headed in the woods to start our adventure!
We rented two canoes and it was such a fun trip!
We did not participate in the canoe part, as we had our own kayaks, but wish we had.
The marina handles boat and jet ski rentals.
