Very well run quality museum! We asked for and got a volunteer guide who enabled us to go inside several aircraft. He tailored our tour perfectly, we had children with us, and kept it interesting and fun. The displays inside, and the planes outside are very cool. This is a free museum but after going, and appreciating the work and knowledge of the volunteers, I'd recommend giving a donation, there's a jar by the museum shop. Oh, by the way, they have real and unique (made in) Hawaiian shirts for sale there.

Even on a foggy damp day, the beauty of this park was readily evident. They weren't charging for admission on the day we visited, so we were able to drive through the parking area and admire the dunes and get a quick look at the ocean.

Customer service in changing and adjusting my reservation via email was easy and helpful. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and friendly! Price is right also.

We visited here for the first time on a weekend in Sept. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. The tickets were very reasonable; some rides only required one or two tickets. The haunted house was so much fun for kids and adults alike. My grandchildren loved this place! My adult daughter and son-in-law loved the games. We will definitely return here if we are in the area.

Beautiful grounds and "house". The staff from the ticket booth to the guides are all excellent. Don't forget to see the basement area with its bowling alley.

The directions are a bit confusing to get to the area. One has to go through the hospital area (you'll learn about the Estae's connection to the hospital on the tour. Also, follow the signs to the Estate parking.

Planned on spending an hour here and ended up spending four. Fascinating museum and grounds, with enthusiastic and friendly guides. The different buildings / artifacts have thorough write ups, and there are several tours available too. Would particularly recommend the gunpowder tour.

It was almost empty when I was there, which also provided the extra benefit of a nice quiet walk through what felt like a private riverside park.

There is wifi throughout the grounds.

We’ve attempted to visit Winterthur twice before but life got in the way. Thankfully, the third attempt was the charm! We loved our visit and will definitely return. Not as large was Longwood Gardens, nor as crowded. For us, much more enjoyable.

If you haven’t been - go! And to the wonderful folks who work/volunteer there - thank you. Friendly, informative, welcoming. Absolutely wonderful day!

    Great family vacation spot!
although parking is not as close or as many as other beaches, nevertheless it's a great place to visit and chill

We happened across this little beach community as we were driving through, and I'm already planning our next vacation! The characterization of the area as "quiet resorts" is fitting, and the town center was charming.

Fun place to hang out and step out on the beach in the off season. Visited in late April, and I'm guessing the summers are more crowded. Definitely check out Thrasher's French Fries, but guard your cup because seagulls like to swoop down. In fact, that's just true of all food.

The trail is marked 2.6 miles, that is to the point and not round trip as far as I can tell. We walked a little over a half mile and it started to rain so we turned back. Our second attempt that afternoon we got to the first lookout point where the towers from WWII are visible but then turned back because of time and a dinner reservation. We never got to see the walkways others have posted. The pond was rather depleted of water. I think they drain it in spring. But still it was a lovely walk (we were the only walkers, lots of biker passing us by). Between the pond and the boardwalk, I got 12000 steps in one day, so that made me happy!

Visited this location with a friend and would say this is a place you don't want to miss. We signed up for a tour that included a flight, four tastings on the tour with one of them being in the tree house all for $20 per person. This was money well spent. Jamin, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable of all things Dogfish Head from the history of the company to the production facility. He was fun and friendly. It was just two of us so he took extra time. My favorite thing was how he added humor to the visit and shared some of the staff names to some of the equipment. The facility is super pet friendly inside and out since you order your bites at a window. We didn't have any food but enjoyed the beer selection. If you are a beer fan you will not want to miss their R&D selection. These products are under development and you will not get them in the stores. Will return on a future visit.

We came as a family of nine with one four year old, grandma and grandpa, four parents, a ten year old and a six year old. We stayed at a quiet little bay with small to no waves which was great for everyone. I highly recommend Dewey beach to people of all ages because of the beautiful beaches and many things to do like a boardwalk and a business district.

We walked along the boardwalk and visited a few stores on a recent visit. It was excruciatingly cold with biting wind, thus we were all wearing our winter coats! I can only imagine the boardwalk and stores are really crowded in the summer. It was very busy when we visited, cold weather be darned. It’s a nice clean boardwalk, with a good selection of eateries. The beach is quite nice, but the cold wind eventually drove us away. The town allows dogs on the beach and boardwalk until May, so there were many pups, impervious to the cold, frolicking with their people on the beach and boardwalk. Parking lot was filled and I imagine it’s kind of a nightmare in the summer. Still, very nice beach and boardwalk.

Just a quick stop to walk down to the water. Since they charge to park in the lot-one of our group just stayed in the car while we went down to the water.
We visited in mid-week, mid-September, so off-season. It was a beautiful 80 degree no humidity day-so it was beautiful.
