Gained a confidence in the saddle, felt in control at all times, and just when I thought the terrain was too much, Blaze was solid in his role, slipped going down the trail and regained his footing quickly.

I believe that the Oatman burros live wild and free outside of town on the land and come into Oatman daily to mix and mingle with the tourists and get alfalfa cubes ($1 for a nice sized bag) that they love.
Besides the occasional "horses will be horses" hiccups with their behavior, the ride itself was smooth, quiet and peaceful with the occasional enlightening conversation from AJ and the Old Timer.
Our hosts, Megan and three and a half year old Evelyn were delightful to visit with, and our wranglers AJ and Brandon were top notch.

I recommend it to anyone who likes horses, remembers TV westerns like Bonanza or even Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and enjoys some non-strenuous outdoor adventuring will have a blast.
The wranglers were helpful during the ride, assisting riders with their horses if necessary, (mostly, weight shifting and gaining control over a snacking horse).

Though the two of us have ridden quite a bit, we appreciated Russ's helpful riding tips as we rode along, over sometimes rough and hilly terrain through the Sonoran Desert.
His love of horses, the care and attention he gives to you as the rider and his desert knowledge make this trail ride the complete package.
