My wife and myself arrived in Skagen this morning aboard the Azamara Journey Cruise ship and spent the morning ‘in town’ visiting both Skagens Museum & Anchers Hus (Reviews to follow).

They are arranged in many displays showing different scenes, like a beach scene, a fun fair, a kitchen and even a workshop and a shop, where teddies make teddies.

The gallery abounded with beautiful paintings, whimsical pottery and glasswork all created by local Danish artisans.

I feel a bit uncharitable in those comments - as this is a great little museum that does the best it can to preserve the bunker and is, in it's own was very interesting and is certainly very interesting.....
Superb museum detailing a typical Atlantic Wall bunker with weapons and living accommodation that the troops would have used.

We wandered in here and were surprised to find the glass blower and his assistant working right in the middle of the shop.
This is a glass blower workshop and shop - not an activity.

... in a very approachable manner (living room settings, outdoors, and an artist studio), the restaurant was excellent, the gift shop full of affordable and unique items, and even the bathrooms had lovely art!
This is incredible art museum / gallery and then you can walk the beach.

... Azamara Journey Cruise ship and we spent a most pleasant morning in the central town area (15-20 minutes walk from the Port) visiting both Anchers Hus (House) and the nearby Skagens Museum (Reviews to follow).
When you enter the museum, go left into some rooms where there are pictures and memorials.
