Picturesque center of Tabor with many cafes and restaurants as well as museums and amusing activities for the little ones. It is such a joy to just stroll around and absorb the magnificent history of this town.

Very pretty area, well, landscaped and clean, the path along the walls make for a very pleasant walk with a nice view. Several apple trees lining the way, with lots of apple on the ground.

The Pilgrimage Church is well worth the walk through the woods and up the slope from Tabor. Don’t be put off by the locked door as you approach as the entry point is just a little further on via a gateway in the walled enclosure surrounding the Church. The site marks the place where local children saw a vision of the Virgin Mary. The Baroque church has been beautifully restored and sits in a small garden and is surrounded by small chapels built into the enclosing walls.

There is a small museum at that castle nowadays. For public is open a tower with a nice view of Tábor, too. It doesn't take long time to see everything here and it is a nice "trip to past time".
Admission is 30,- CZK per adult. Takeing pictures from the tower is free, but if you want to take pictures in the museum, you have to buy photo permission.

Beaitiful church decorated in the Baroque style, and the surrounding cloisters and gardens provide for a very pleasant walkabout. Opened only on weekends and holidays.

Located on the town square...it is one of many old buildings that line the square. They are all a bit different in style but very interesting to look at.

This very modern observation tower is on a ridge a few kilometres from Tabor. It provides panoramic views over the local area. There is a slot machine at the base that takes your admission money. There is no lift.

One can enter the Klokoty monastery grounds through a gate in the long white side wall of the cemetery. Well kept beautiful resting place of many Tabor citizens, their grave stones occasionally give a little hint of their past life - hotel owner, banker, etc.

A Beautiful Church not far from the main square. Very quiet and tranquil. Church was closed to the public but can look at through the gates.

We had just stopped into Tabor the night before to get a hotel. The next morning we were on our way to see Konopiste castle and decided to take a quick peak at the church which was just opposite our hotel on the lovely Zizka square. I was literally there for a minute or two and just took a few quick pics. That's it. I liked what I saw and wished we had more time to look around, but alas it was not to be. Such is life. If you are visiting Tabor I would definitely stopping by. There was some nice stained glass there and tha's always worth a gander.

If you’d visit: mind the steep stairwell! Renaissance square water tower, decorated arched Rayonnant motifs and Sgraffiti, today the different floors houses a gallery. Tábor, city with the reputation of an impregnable fortress, had 15th century a lack of drinkable water, therefore the Jordán dam was built in 1492, it is the oldest reservoir in Central Europe. Sometime in late 15th transition 16th century the water tower was built on the quay. The pump system pumped water in the water tower 32 m above the water surface and from the tower via wooden pipes to the city fountains. The Tower caught fire in 1559 but was restored. The water tower is located on a steep slope next to the preserved fortress wall.

Currently being renovated, but has a restaurant. A ways from the town square but if you get the free audio guide from the tourist information office easy to get to. Nice overlook to the River Jordon.
