08 July, 2017.
I had arrived in Vilnius on 05 July, 2017, and spent the previous
three days walking all around the Old Town, admiring the old
churches and cathedrals all around. I was rather intrigued to see
two tall spires rising into the skies from a distance, yet no
tourist map of the Old Town or the city really helped me in this
regard, to identify the place, and its history. On 08 July, I was
determined to find out more, and after a couple of approaches
(including one over the grassy mound, leading to a fenced-off area),
I Was finally able to get to the place I had seen across all my
roaming across the Old Town. This is an old church which is
currently closed, but even from the outside, this is a real treat
for lovers of archaeology, and old structures. The light yellow structure
had entrance doors on three sides of an impressive entrance, and
looks striking from the footpath/sidewalk, which has a small
grassy patch near the entrance.
