It's a lovely way to start your trip at Vilnius! Peppered with historical facts insightful stories and humour this was a great walking tour thanks to Our tour guide Milda J!
The tour-girl was funny, attentive to the inquiries, questions and after she recommended us many places to visit, museums, restaurants and shops I highly recommend this tour!
Ugnė was an excellent guide (friendly and enthusiastic) taking us to parts of the city that are off the usual tourist map and revealing an insight into how people live very different lives.
We were picked up on time by our wonderful guide from our apartment and were given a tour of the small and large ghettos where an excellent explanation of the Jewish context was sensitively explained.
Next day we had a perfect tour to Paneriai memorial park and Trakai castle with very interesting and friendly guide Andreas.

We explored Kaunas, had a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant, explored the Hill of Crosses and Rundale palace gardens and even had time to stop at the Salaspils memorial site.
Ruta's knowledge and passion about her homeland made it an informative journey, and the group of 8 international travellers is enough to be comfortable.

Ema conducted the tour professionally, combined with a very personal touch, relating to her grandparents and parents experiences with the drama of Lithuania and in particular the Jewish population in Vilnius.
We only went with Ema on the tour of the former Jewish quarter, but she gave us background on other parts of the city, in particular Zarzecze/זארעטשעת, today Užupis, where our family also has historical roots.
