It was a nice trip. It was a bit colder than I liked. I imagine it's really great during warmer months. Definitely worth the price.

Our Tour Guide Zsuzsa was AMAZING. With her more than 40 years of experience she was by far the most knowledgeable tour guide we have ever had.
The Wine Tasting and lunch was excellent.

We had a great day with Steve our excellent, knowledgeable, English speaking guide. It was lovely to drive out of Budapest into the countryside and see the impressive Basilica at Esztergom & the Castle at Visegrad. There were lots of displays in the Castle and activities for families. The views of the Danube bend were beautiful and we were able to walk over the bridge to stand on Slovakian soil, which was fun!
We then drove to Szentendre, a pretty, touristy village on the banks of the Danube with all the usual shops & to enjoy lunch. Unusual to have rice and potatoes with our BBQ chicken but very tasty.
After lunch we enjoyed a boat cruise for about one hour back to Budapest, which gave opportunities to photograph all the lovely architecture in the banks of both Buda & Pest.
A great tour with lots of variety - recommend it!

What a wonderful tour. Full of beautiful scenery, history and such varied sights. Everything was so well organised by Susanna in the office with whom I corresponded beforehand.

Our guide, Susan, was very experienced, knowledgeable and extremely personable. She ensured that everything went to plan, that we had plenty of information about each venue and that we were also given time to explore/take photos in our own time.

After a delicious lunch and time for shopping/sightseeing in Szentendre, we took the ferry back to Budapest, a peaceful journey along the river Danube.

This was a trip that we will remember for a long time. Excellent.

The riverside town of Szentendre and Visegrad Castle are a great day trip visit from Budapest. Peter our tour guide made it even more wonderful. He provided on-time pickup at our hotel and was all things expected of an excellent guide (and driver) ...prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and very kind.

Peter timed our visit to Szentendre perfectly, arriving just as the town shops and cafe's opened for the day which we were able to enjoy throughout the morning while also learning of the town's unique medieval and artistic history. As part of the tour, we also visited the Marzipan Musuem and had delicious coffee at the adjacent Szamos Cafe. After Szentendre, we traveled further up along the Danube River to Visegrad Castle which did not disappoint. The views from Visergrad upper castle were amazing. From here, you have picturesque views of the Danube Bend and can see easily see why previous Hungarian Kings chose this location to build their fortifications.

Overall, a great day trip from Budapest and Peter, our guide, was fantastic.
We will book with him again the next time we return Budapest.

This was the best museum what visited.
We liked the premium pálinka tour.
    We tested 4 pálinka.
The pálinka was very good. 10/10
The information monitors showed how made the original pálinka, and showed the history of pálinka.

Traveling with Gabriel could not have gone better! Not only was he extremely kind and polite, he was also
so knowledgable. The tour itself was a beautiful
way to see the Hungarian countryside, and having the addition of a welcoming and compassionate tour guide was a plus! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Budapest but wants to get out of the city for a bit!

We were two couples traveling to Budapest for three days before joining an organized river cruise. We knew that our cruise back down the Danube would not afford us time to stop in several of the wonderful little villages along the way. So I reached out to Petra at Around Budapest and booked this private Full Day Guided tour…and it was the best decision we made all trip!!

Petra was amazing, immediately responding to e-mails, confirming the price and exactly on time for our meeting. The van, with Benjamin our driver, was spacious, new, comfortable and Benjamin was an excellent driver. We were luck in that Petra also was our guide and she was amazing!!! She was knowledgable, fun, enthusiastic, professional and always checking to make sure that we were seeing what we wanted to see and/or not spending too much time on things that didn’t interest us (she was wonderful!!…and we loved everything and everywhere we sent).

It was a full day, but the pace was manageable and by visiting three separate villages/areas (Esztergom, Visegrad & Szentendre), we covered a lot of ground…but never tired or became disinterested. In short, Petra’s itinerary was PERFECT!!!

If you going to be in Budapest and want to visit outside and around Budapest…then booked with Around Budapest!! You’ll be glad you did. It was excellent!!
