We lived nearby during our stay here at Heviz. The benefits of church:
-as you are walking uphill in the heat after a tiring bathing at Heviz lake and even more exhausting huge lunch, the sight of blue towers gives you some hope
    - the bells are ringing every 15 minutes, so you know exactly what time it is
    - sometimes passing by you see wedding ceremonies that make you either regret your life choices or thanking God for them (depends)
    -it looks cool

You can enter anytime. There is limited windows. There is a staircase inside so you can look down on the aisle. Outside you have to find off road parking especially as there is a narrow road. The view is amazing. Just visit it. There are excellent places to eat nearby especially on the lower road.

Swimming among water lilies is a special experience. The water is pleasantly warm and clean. The swimming pool is also well arranged and gives a feeling of comfort and relaxation. The catering offer could be better.

Lots of fine restaurants, great view, a nice place for a walk. Also worth to visit the 800 year little chapel. The tourist city train and the small bus go there.

This park was near the place we stayed in and we liked it a lot! The fawn statue was very cute! And the dog statue was nice as well. Also there's a special track for walking barefoot, playground, botanical garden and even a bridge to hang ribbons with written wishes. Very beautiful.

In the middle of the pedestrian zone, You can visit this interesting small museum. You can learn a lot about the bath historie of the city. The exhibition is small, but on the other hand it is free of charge.

In 1925 when a local vineyard owner was plowing its field found a brick grave and in it an intact skeleton. The grave is in Hévíz Egregy district, close to the beginning of Dombföldi Street, leading up to Egregy vineyards. In the grave at the right shoulder of the skeleton was a bronze fibula, also a belt buckle, an iron knife, and other small items. The rumor started to talk about gold coins and military honors as well. Now only the soldier would be able to tell what else did he has.
The grave is cut in a steep wall and the front of it open, covered by glass. Seen this unfortunate fellow who probably had scoliosis, I feel uncomfortable. To put someone on display, who was already resting, is indecent. Or at least these are my feelings. Before I left, I wished him “requiescat in pace.”

We went to the Tuesday market and there was a few craft sellers, antique sellers and fruit and veg sellers. It was a pleasant hours visit and would recommend this. Our kids managed to buy presents here as it's not tat but decent quality wares. Most sellers understood English. Prices are inflated but not that bad and if your buying a few things you can haggle.

We reserved for some spa treatment by email before we arrived (seemed that it is hard to get a spot on site). The staff at the spa was extra helpful in email and when we arrived they spoke English and tried their best to help us. When we arrived, we didn’t know which was which so we were first in St Andrew but the staff there was totally unhelpful (i.e., turn away their faces when we approach them) – we found this later not atypical Hungarian service but as a famous spa town we thought they could be a bit more welcoming. Anyway, we tried mud treatment (wrap 2 parts of your body with mud extracted from the lake) and several types of massages with professional and friendly masseurs. Worth a try.
