It was incredibly interesting and a very unique experience. I highly recommend it. It was great that the tour lasted an hour so we could get on with our day without it feeling like it consumed the holiday. Really great, emotional displays and an incredibly sad history. Good value for money and an impressive tour with lots to see. It was incredible how many real items were there and seeing the actual machines and items used in real life. The wax figurines were of high quality and tastefully done. The medical helicopter and jeep were excellent surprises. My only criticism is that our tour was off to a bad start because the guide just walked off with the group and left us and no one had said how to access the lockers or what we needed to put in. We were struggling to use them as we needed a Euro but we had HUF only in Notes and the sign at the entrance said no jackets but bags ok but we later realised this meant no coats in the lockers!!! No-one helped us and it was very embarrassing. We had to catch up with the rest of the group inside the underground hospital having missed some of the introduction and the elderly staff member seemed really annoyed with us for not knowing what to do. Two of them just watched us struggle with frustration. As we had booked an English speaking tour, someone should have said this is where you can put your belongings and this is what you need to put in. However, the overall experience saved itself.

Amazing value and such great fun
    Felt like a child
Some of the machines I haven’t seen and played on since I was a kid and it’s not just pinball, there was air guitars, asteroids, Pac-Man as well as hockey etc
    Loved it
Could have spent all night there

I’m a wine collector and have gone to multiple wine regions, tastings and wineries. While in Budapest I search for places to discover some local wines and found this place with great reviews.

So we came without previous reservation, around 2pm. Finding the actual cellar is challenging, you have to go through several stairs and salons until you get down into the lower part inside the Hilton Hotel.

Gabor was our sommelier, I like very much his fun attitude as well as his passion and knowledge about wine, he is a real asset for the place.

The wines were fairly good, one in particular was the favor of all of us, and I think the price of €22 per person is reasonable for the experience.

We like it so much that we’re coming back 2 days later but we had to cancel. Anyways we’ll be back in the near future…

This is a must-do experience. It’s eye opening and there is a wealth of information available. I really liked that it explored all of the different groups persecuted by the Nazis. Emotive, but reliable exhibitions. The staff are also very friendly!

We took the Children's railway to the top, had a pleasant walk in the woods and got the chairlift down which gives great views of Budapest in the distance.

    Very good.

Nice traditional bulding, an interesting tour with fancy chocolates. We came with a gift coupon, took part with a group of 15-20 people. It was wholesome. Recommended!

We saw this place on the tour of the Castle District and returned when it was over. This is a small place but they had a short magic show and then a small museum. It is worth the visit.

We took a bus out of the city centre out to Memento Park to see this quirky collection of over 40 statutes, busts and plaques from Hungary's communist period. It was really quiet when we visited which meant we were able to really enjoy the place without too many people. I would highly recommend buying the guide to the park so you can read about the monuments that you are looking at. An interesting hour's visit to a fascinating collection and worth the excursion out of the city.

In the summertime, this place is PACKED with people - almost all Hungarian. This isn't a super-touristy thing to do. It's far from the city center, but it's absolutely worth it!
We walked through the park and made our way up to the tower and then took the chair lift down. The walk is not tiring, but relaxing as the trail winds and curves through the park. There are several fantastic playgrounds for kids.
Once you reach the chair lift, you can walk or take stairs to the tower and the view is absolutely worth it!
Be sure to buy a chimney cake (kurtoskalacs) for your trip down the hillside.

Interesting museum, about the old Roman settlement ruins next to the Sziget island. It has a small indoor museum with different artifacts from the ruins, and a larger outdoor one with larger objects. There are various information signs around the area, that explain what type of building the ruin once was.
It is worth spending a few hours. There is a children offer at the last Sunday of each month at a reduced price. Check out their own website for updated info.

Stopped in to check it out and glad we did. A church carved out the cave, there are quite a few things to look at, with different chapels allocated in the space. I especially liked the chapel with the wood carvings. You’ll see it as you cross the Liberty bridge.
