Magnificent. I booked directly with the official website. The audio guide is exceptional. The tour lasts about 45 min to an hour but is loaded with info. The Parliament interiors are a sight to behold. Book early as the spots are filled much in advance. I would rank this the topmost attraction in Budapest for me.

Visited here for half a day. It was really nice! Even though there were a lot of people around, it didn’t feel overwhelming as the space is so spread out. Lots of food places to eat.

The views are awesome! The place itself is stunning! The history of the place is wonderful.

There is something for any age here.

A beautiful building and very much worth the entrance fee. The artwork and craftsmanship is stunning.

We went for the full ticket and climbed the steps to the top to give incredible views of the city. (We got the lift down!)

Humble reminder of the negative past and the horrific experience suffered by the Jewish people of Budapest.

Budapest is bisected by the River Danube. The stunning Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with the flat Pest.

The Danube is the second-longest river in Europe, after the Volga in Russia. In addition to many other cities, this river passes through four national capitals: Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, and Bratislava.

Besides walking by the river bank or crossing over the many bridges, you can take many kinds of river cruises.

Beautiful church. Everything there is worth to see. Every euro for ticket is worth, because everything in side and outside is beautiful. We spend ( my son, my wife and me ) two hours in side, so many details, so many things to see. Go there its very, very nice place.

Not quite what I was expecting as it is a Castle District rather than a Castle as we know it. The Art exhibition is in the Palace if you like that sort of thing however I would have liked to see the palace how it was in it’s day. Views are spectacular.

Unfortunately the Chain Bridge is closed to pedestrians at the moment as there is a lot of work going on. We were still able to get great photos from the boat cruise and just had to walk a lot further to cross the river.

Just fabulous! Not to be missed! Dancing water fountains; green scenery and flowers; fun pedal powered transport to hire; easily accessible from the city by tram and bus. I even walked back to our apartment by Buda Castle along the river and it was a really nice walk back.

We visited the Palatinus swimming pool complex which was super! Wave pools; thermal pools (inside and out); great food places (langos 😍😍😍)!

The rose garden on the island is gorgeous. There is so much to do here for all ages! Loved it here! My daughters and I had a great day here. At the end of the day when you’re all tired out, the bus takes you right back to the tram stop or city depending on which side of the river you are. It’s great here!

You can also get dropped off here with some of the river cruises and be picked up later in the day if you’re on an earlier cruise.

Varhegy is the area / neighborhood of the Buda hill castle. It has some lovely parks and obviously has lots of nice buildings as it has the castle and churches and fisherman bastion. There is nice views over the Pest side. When your in Budapest, its a must to come to this area as it has a lot of the tourist items a traveler has to see.

This was a great tour to take on a rainy day. As a medical professional, I very much appreciated seeing the historical nature of trauma medical care in a bunker. It was brought to “life” by many wax figures of doctors, nurses, and patients. The tour is structured — no one is not allowed to wander through by oneself. Part of the tour is a section of the cave system used as a nuclear bunker with an exhibit on Hiroshima.

It was a bit disappointing after a 30 minute hike up the hill from the Liberty Bridge end to find that the top where the citadel was closed and you couldn't get around it as it was blocked. There was no signs in the park on the way up noting this.
Still, the views from up top were excellent over Budapest. Walking down hill was easier and we found a nice little child's play park on the way down and my wife used the slide to make coming down easier and had a bit of fun as well.
It may be a bit difficult for those that have mobility issues due its gradient.

Really gorgeous architecture and historical building here in Budapest. If you are visiting this is a perfect place to pick up a trinket or two to return home with many options for paprika and spices the first floor is filled with an overwhelming amount to choose from.

Shop around before you buy the vendors sell similar items and you might be overpaying a bit if you stop just as you walk in.

The second floor has everything from lace runners, t-shirts to leather bags and purses.

Leave at least an hour to peruse the market, it’s just plain fun too. You can imagine what it might have been like years ago too.

There are also a few good vendors too, be careful about the ATMs available inside it’s better to visit a bank ATM and most places prefer the Hungarian Forint over Euro.
