- Ryan W10 contributionsThere’s not a lot to do but we went there knowing that.
There’s a round 5k flat path with a lot of runners.
You can get a bike when you enter and it took us about 30 mins to go round the island.
Few nice bits in the middle ruins etc a good filler activityWritten January 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Also cures your little health issues if you go more than onceWritten October 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mary KProvidence, RI409 contributionsWhile staying on Margaret Island, we took an evening walk to the music fountain. How very enjoyable! I loved the casual feel, and how families and friends gathered to enjoy this fountain. The park is clean, with beautiful floral gardens all around. There is music playing, and the colors of the lights in the fountain change as well as the fountain itself changes, making it fun to look and listen to the music. We may have stayed around 30-45 minutes, but if I could go again, I would bring a blanket or chairs and pack a picnic dinner and enjoy for longer. I love it when cities know how to create a wonderful, clean area for all to enjoy.Written August 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roberts69Northampton, UK17,856 contributionsFirstly Margaret Island, where the Water Tower is located, is a very pleasant place to spend a few hours if you are visiting Budapest for 3 or 4 days. It is tranquil, leafy and relaxing. About 2/3 along the island you will find the Water Tower (you can't miss it) that was built in 1911 and is a UNESCO protected structure. It is 57m (187ft) tall and has a viewing gallery that offers panoramic views of the island.Written April 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rayraysworldWarwick, UK1,838 contributionsT'was a cold day when we visited the island. On a hot day, the whole experience would have been entirely different. There's not a lot to do on a cold day so we felt the island really needed this. A welcome distraction from a fairly dull walk.
Horses, many species of ducks, birds sitting on nests and some of the biggest bunnies you will see.
Not a large sized attraction, but pretty good. We liked it.Written April 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When we returned we were 3 mins late. They wanted to charge an extra half an hour. He was rude when i explained about the tyres and never did they mention at the beginning that there will be penalties if you are over by a couple of minutes. They then started to speak in their own language and laugh and demand the extra money or else they would not return my ID.
Margarit Island is lovely and there is lots to do but just don't go with this company.Written July 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And somehow get the feeling that everything is not right at this place.
Do not eat here - drinks overpriced. Nothing special. Was totally empty inside even there was line outside.Written August 11, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
